The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has issued an air quality advisory through Friday as smoke from wildfires in the Sierra moves into the region.

The smoke is expected to drift into the Bay Area late Thursday night and into Friday morning but is expected to remain aloft and not exceed federal health standards, according to the air district.

The district is encouraging people to stay inside with windows and doors closed if they smell smoke.

That’s good advice. So if you have no power for air conditioning or heat what are you suppose to do?Just freeze or over heat.lol

Haven’t watched the news tonight – what Sierra wildfires?

Near Yosemite, Mariposa area is where the fire is.

And if you are camping, do not make a campfire even if it is 23 degrees outside.

Fire??? PG&E turning off power was supposed to prevent wildfires. How ironic.

Well, great! I can spend the rest of the weekend putting away all the stuff I dragged out for the power shut off that never happened.

Where are these fires in the Sierras?
