As of last night, and this morning… the only actual PSPS for Contra Costa County is the Lamorinda Canyon Moraga segment with approx 204 Customers. I used Canyon Elementary as an address (187 Pinehurst Rd, Canyon, CA 94516) (Map originates from CoCoCo) I hope the area doesn’t get bigger, and hope this one PSPS, goes away. #DontLetTheNewsUseOurCountysNameInVein https://arcg.is/04Laye
Republican want to end PG&E power shutoffs by stopping clueless Democrat green law
State Sen. Jim Nielsen and Assemblyman James Gallagher argue that PG&E is spending $2.4 billion a year to comply with Senate Bill 100. It should go instead to prevent wildfires and 10 more years of power shutoffs.
“We force PG&E to pay billions in ratepayer funds to buy more renewables when we could take those dollars to make their infrastructure safer.” Gallagher said.
“It would be much smarter climate policy.”

Sorry but PG&E has had MANY decades to deal with this konwn problem and they CHOSE to do nothing.
IMHO – shareholders who have benefited from these decisions need to take a hair cut and their exec’s need a big pay cut and no more bonuses until they deal with their underlying problem.
“Public Safety Power Shutoff”
LOL – PG&E is simply covering their collects butts since if a fire breaks out because of their equipment they are liable for damages.
They have had many decades to deal with this problem and they chose to do nothing other than enrich Shareholders (yes, PG&E) is an Investor Held Company that is on the Stock Market and gives their Executives millions in bonuses.
