Concord Police Officers arrested two people on suspicion of DUI while conducting a Saturation Patrol on Friday.

In addition, officers made 41 vehicle enforcement stops and cited 20 drivers for various vehicle code violations.

Funding for this DUI Saturation Patrol was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Ah… the usual “2”

Better than the usual “0”. Getting those that are impaired off the streets should be a priority for everyone.

True, but here is a perception: They have several cop cars out patrolling for several hours. More often than not the DUI arrest rate is “2”. It almost seems like after they catch 2; the party is over and they stop looking… That’s all I’m getting at… Would be nice to see 3 or 4 or 5…. If “0”, would appear they just didn’t look, cause we all know the drunks are out there.

More than half of the teens driving to my high school have no drivers license. Thus, no insurance or testing of their driving skills and knowledge of our rules of the road. The district does not require the schools to ask for students to present a license for a permit to park on school campuses. Did you catch any of them driving through your check point?

What check point?

Masked poster, maybe Mika is female, and has a very full appointment book and knows who’s up to what?Maybe they did a “poll ” of students that are licensed, just for a laugh?

James, why would it matter if Mika is female?

I approve

When I went to High School Mt. Diablo everyone had to take Drivers Ed. It was mandatory.

My driver’s ed teacher told me his and other drivers ed classes were the only classes that didn’t have discipline problem because everyone wants to get their license at that age.

Getting DUI people off the road is important. However if they did a sweep in WC at Ygnacio and Civic they would nail 30 red light runners in 30 minutes. That’s pretty good bang for the buck…….

But that’s WC,and Concord knows it could make thousands per day $$ just by posting an officer or a camera at the stop sign in Turtle Creek by the tennis courts. Not one of you that lives there and turns right ever stop, they zip past the car going straight and stopping. Not just kids doing it either,I see the older adults thinking they shouldn’t need to stop if there’s nobody opposing them. It’s like people that won’t stop for the police because they don’t think they did anything wrong. If they don’t understand they rules, they don’t need to follow them is thier logic.and that’s leftist thinking.
Ah liberals,it’s like a really large kindergarten class….

Wow James, you’re on a roll… first assuming that Mika is a woman since she “keeps track” of things, and now, all those who don’t stop when they are supposed to are “liberals.” LOL

Liizzie we all know that people that cant and wont follow rules are liberals,it’s part of the definition.

James…. I think he must have been Class Clown.
