The following message is from the Concord Police Dept.:
Our department is aware of a planned protest this afternoon in Todos Santos Plaza. We have taken measures to ensure everyone’s safety. The streets immediately adjacent to the plaza will be shut down to vehicle traffic and the two downtown public parking garages will be closed. You will also see a police presence in the area. We advise you avoid the downtown area if possible, as we anticipate a traffic impact in the area.
We have heard from many of our community members who are concerned about today’s demonstration. We will continue to monitor information throughout the day.
