As we SLOWLY reopen CoCo County and realize the economic devastation caused by over paid bureaucrats and career politicians, it is time for TERM LIMITS. From City Councils and Board of Supervisors to the the US Senate, it is time to return to the days of representative government. Unfortunately, most Claycord voters are too stupid to understand that concept.
No, hardly stupid- branches of government, govt. checks & balances, jurisdictions, etc. are very complicated… most importantly voters need to be informed and vote. Also, this catch & release has got to stop!!
This is a great forum to share information and express our passions with compassion🙏
In the city of Walnut Creek the same people run for council. A few years back NO ONE ran against two people who were running for two spots. So the two candidates ‘won’.
Please explain how term limits promote representative government. It has been my experience that the politicians who best listened to my concerns were the ones with an established political machine to help their constituents. This has held true whether the person was a Republican or a Democrat. I would rather have a proven, experienced candidate than a mass of dubious wannabes.
Liberty, you must be new, or you have not been paying much attention to the comments on Claycord. The vast majority are very anti-liberal!!

The health department, the governor, local politicians have all lost credibility big-time on this deal. Congratulations!

World Health Organization Emergencies Chief Dr. Michael Ryan says:
“There is no specific evidence to suggest that the wearing of masks by the mass population has any particular benefit – in fact, there’s some evidence to suggest the opposite,” he said.
Wearing face masks is an “altruistic act” and primarily a tool for “source control” in the community — in which the practice is more about protecting others if you are infected than protecting yourself, Dr. Mike Ryan, WHO executive director of health emergencies program, said Friday.
Ryan added that wearing masks needs to happen alongside other elements such as “case finding, cluster investigation, widespread testing, isolation of cases and quarantining of contacts.”
WHO’s updated guidance recommends masks be used as part of a “comprehensive package” to help curb the spread of COVID-19, which includes physical distancing, frequent hand washing, people who are sick self-isolating at home, suspected cases getting tested, and their contacts being traced.

Saw these guidelines released by CC on KRON the other day:
“Social outdoor gatherings of up to 12 people”
“Protests of up to 100 people”.
Does this mean if I have a party, guests 13-100 just need to bring a sign (or bricks)?
Interesting 100s even thousands can protest on top of each other no sip for these people no tickets for curfew violations and such Makes you wonder what really is on
SIP in place only worked when people agree to abide by it. People, I think generally thought it was a good idea. Some might not agreed with how it was implemented but common sense said yeah, it’s a good idea.
There was no way the Government could enforce it without the cooperation of the populous.
You can clearly see the illusion of control by the governments in ability to control these protests even though SIP is still in effect. People are no longer willing to abide by the order, rule, law or however you want to define it and It is clear the Government cannot enforce it.
So you want cops to enforce shelter in place for everyone?

Our Sanctuary can legally seat 1,200 people, meaning that we can have a 1% seating capacity. This is an affront to common sense (and the U.S. Constitution), and really just excrement wrapped up in bad science.
Meanwhile, since universal house arrest began, over 1,400 people should have been diagnosed with cancer in our county alone. Same applies to new cases of hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease. Has our County Health Director tracked the actual number diagnosed for these conditions?
This is the only ‘legal medical procedure’ I am aware of where side effects are ignored or dismissed out of hand.
I am a Hairstylist and I need some answers as to when Contra Costa County is anticipating opening salons. I can’t seem to get a straight answer wherever I look on line. Can you help me get answers??

Who are the people who should hold these offices?

Ok…. my give a damn is officially broken.

The illusion of control is slipping.

You have to work the system: Simply announce that it’s no longer a Sanctuary, it’s now a “House of Protest”. Seating for 1200, no problem!
When will Concord deign to open the dog parks?
