Scientist say a lot of crazy things. And they always have. Kids will be in school soon. Private schools will open very soon.
Look up scientific racism and you will see that science has done us extreme harm in our past, that we are still reaping the consequences of.
I know of a private school in Walnut Creek opening up this coming week. K-6 … they have already applied for a waiver … If they can open, then the rest should be able to open.

Infectious disease specialist Dr. Isaac Bogoch said he DOESN’T BELIEVE IT WILL TAKE YEARS for schools to return to normal, considering the millions in investments the U.S. has made on potential vaccines. But he noted in-person education may not return to normal until late into the first half of next year after vaccines are expected to become widely available.
Dr. Harry Greenberg, a professor of microbiology and immunology at Stanford University School of Medicine, ECHOED THOSE REMARKS, saying if “we’re lucky” on vaccines, students could return to schools without masks by the fall of 2021.
The medical “experts” have said a whole lot of things since this started. I used to listen to them. I don’t take anything they say seriously anymore.
Next week it will be, oh, maybe not and life can get back to somewhat normal. If scientist were to say, it’s too early to say what this will bring next year they would be much better off and have more creditability.

This is the worst kind of fear-mongering article. Light on specifics, heavy on doomsday scenarios. There is no reason to think that it will take years. There are kids in Sweden in elementary schools right now with no masks on. Not just Sweden, either! Lots of countries have schools reopened already, some with masks and some not. In another year there will be more widespread immunity, probably a fairly effective vaccine, better treatments. The impact will be more like a bad flu year, at most, not a historic excess mortality event.
As to a Covid vaccine and kids, since kids themselves are at very low risk from Covid, if adults get vaccinated then it doesn’t matter if kids do or not. Sheesh! Some people think it is their duty to scare the populace by any means necessary. It is wrong and counterproductive: if it is never going away, then to heck with it. People will put up with a lot of it is temporary and has a purpose. If they are told that school is going to be ruined indefinitely, they will just reject everything else you say.
