Spare the Air alerts banning wood burning will be in effect through at least Friday in the Bay Area as thick smoke from wildfires has enveloped the region and created orange hazy skies, according to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
There have now been 25 straight days in which the air district has issued the alerts, which ban the burning of wood and other solid fuels both indoors and outdoors, following lightning strikes that sparked wildfires
around Northern California in mid-August.
The air quality became even more of a topic of conversation in the Bay Area Wednesday morning as thick smoke from the fires scattered blue light from the sun, allowing only yellow-orange-red light to reach the surface and creating the dark, orange sky during daytime.
Most of the smoke is aloft, but may come down to the ground level as weather conditions change, so the air district is encouraging people to stay indoors when they smell smoke.
“As this morning’s eerily dark and orange skies demonstrate, smoke from the many fires that continue to burn throughout the Bay Area and other parts of California are continuing to impact the region,” air district executive officer Jack Broadbent said in a statement.

Gas leaf blowers create high levels of formaldehyde, benzine, fine particulate matter and smog forming chemicals which are known to cause dizziness, headaches, asthma attacks, heart and lung disease, cancer and dementia.

It will take new leadership to turn this ship around, however, California appears to be a ship of fools.
So I am looking to leave. I’ll take all of my assets with me and use them elsewhere. California appears to be another Lemming in search of a cliff.

Can u specifically explain how these fires are caused by the “democrat overlords” is there something you would have done that could have prevented all these fires the past years? You guys are all about lowering taxes and want the government to stop taking your money but what would you do? Rake the forests? Clean all the dead leaves and trees? Do you know how much money that would cost? And then if the government did do that you would be complaining about them spending too much money too. I am sick and tired of all you old farts blaming these things on democrats instead of looking at the real causes of these problems like global warming. The Democratic Overlords are interested in a lot of things, and saving the earth isn’t one of them. It’s about money, control, and power. Climate change and Covid and just aesthetics.
Regarding people leaving the trifecta of California, Nevada, and Washington: that represents a lot of multi-generational assets and tax revenue. They know that eventually the trifecta will reach blood-out-of-a-turnip status. This is why they want the wealth tax to follow the assets that leave. They realize the remaining assets will be meager at best, and having already taxed the poor to death, they will need to find new revenue sources. Just like any successful parasite.
