As a result of the red flag warning issued by the National Weather Service and the extreme fire danger, open space areas with developed walking trails, including Lime Ridge Open Space and portions of Newhall Park will be closed today.
Lime Ridge parking lots at Treat Blvd. and Montecito Dr. will also be closed.

Lime Ridge begins at Cowell Rd Concord near Ridge Park Dr and extends south to North Gate Rd, Walnut Creek.
We hiked Limeridge today, parking lot might have been closed but we walked on the trail to WC side.
Don’t see what a high fire danger has to do with us hiking the trail. Ridiculous..
