It’s unfortunate that everyone doesn’t exercise their right to vote.
I exercise my right to vote by not registering and just bending over and paying my taxes that keep raising. No point to vote, anything political is a waste of my time.

It is not low! Ca. does not clear there voter rolls. My ex moved out of the state 9 yrs ago. He is still registered to vote in Ca. I tried 6 yrs ago to get his name removed, the result was I got an email saying that he had to write or email them –he ” himself” had to request his name be removed. He has not voted since 2011. I have not spoken to him since 2012 and don’t intend too. My son also told them when he voted last yr, that his dad’s name should be removed. I voted in Oregon where I am now, but am still registered in Ca. and my mail in ballot was not used. The signature cards sent out late July were not signed for me or my ex, so we should not have received a mail in ballot., but ballots were sent out and not used. How many thousands are like that, because people move. People die.

I think Cards cast is how many were mailed out. Voters cast is how many were returned. Some may have chosen to go in person and I don’t think that number is reflected here.
I don’t understand this. Mr. Mayor is there a citation for this information, so I can try to understand it better. What are Cards Cast vs. Voters Cast? Looking at this without more information, it seems like twice as many ballots were mailed out than we have registered voters. Please and thank you.
@slp – A ballot has one or more “cards” which are the sheets of paper you use to vote. My ballot had five cards for example. Thus I would be reported as five cards and one voter. Would Claycord ban me if I changed my name to 5-Card WC Resident?
The ratio of cards to voters is 4.96 for vote-by-mail, 4.99 for vote in person, and 4.97 overall. Some people either don’t return all of the cards, live in areas where their ballot had four or fewer cards, or a cards have been lost or not tabulated yet.
I not only do not know what “Cards cast” is, but the numbers do not add up. Either that or I just don’t understand the chart.

The division you speak of began with Mayor Daily and Joseph Kennedy in Chicago, 1960. It has been continually perpetuated by the democrat party ever since. Believe what you want, but you will miss Trump in 2 years time. RIP Constitutional Republic.
Several things, Bill.
It was widely reported that several states had rules about when mail-in ballots could be cast. California and Florida counted them ahead of time and you got results right away. Pennsylvania, for some bizarre reason waits to count mail-in ballots until after in-person votes were counted.
Trump urged his followers to vote in-person
Biden urged his followers to vote by mail
So now, as several states go through the laborious process of counting all those mail-in ballots of course they overwhelmingly favor Biden.
You mention Democrats being more enthused for Biden in 2020 than they were for Obama in 2008. Yes of course. Voter registration efforts have gone way up (on both sides) and more importantly: people have seen what happened to the country after four years of Trump at the helm. So yes Biden is getting more votes, from democrats, from independents (myself included, and even from some Republicans who have very vocally discussed their frustration with his antics.
Bill you are correct sir No way Bumbling Biden could not have hit those high numbers. as for California as it has been beyond me how it keeps getting landslide numbers for the Democraps ?
I know people can’t all be that brain dead to vote for the status quo for our state misleaders. there seems to be false ballots and counting going on as some people on here state.

But wait they say another 160,000 votes still must be counted in the County! Really? What will change in results?
Those stats don’t match up with the State list of returned ballots (by county). As of 11/2/20 the state list shows 396,809 returned ballots in Contra Costa County. If you add the people who voted at the polls on election day and those who dropped off ballots on election day the total number of voters is much greater.
Also, the County Election website says as of 11/5/20 there are 180,000 ballots to be processed: 175,000 vote by mail and 5,000 provisional/conditional voter registration.
You got that right, RTC! There are many ballots yet to be counted and it is irresponsible journalism to even state that statistic without a big semi-official noted next to it in the title…
The county is still tabulating ballots and so reports of the percentage of people that have voted may not be accurate. At present https://www.cocovote.us/election-results-november-3-2020/ shows:
Are those 180,000 included in the county reports about the percentage of those that have voted? It depends on how you define “cast” vs “tabulated” for ballots.
I used a ballot drop box mid-day on Tuesday and my ballot is not showing as “received” by the county yet.
Once the dust has settled though It would be interesting to know if and when people who did not vote this year last voted. I’m assuming many of the people who did not vote either don’t live in the area any more or may have been registered to vote while getting a driver’s license. I signed in and see that I’m listed as “Active.” Presumably there’s a process to cull out inactive people but are they still counted as a “registered voter?”
I used a ballot drop box one week ago in Clayton, on Friday 10/30/20, and my ballot has not been “received” either. 🤬
Fake news and pollsters gave Trump no chance. Could have caused people not voting.

Here is the problem. Many people get bits and pieces of the news from bad places that they take for the gospel. They don’t have time to watch Fox News or they have heard it is all right wing garbage from friends or neighbors. You may be a fake news watcher but I can assure you Fox news covers stories much better. They have a mix of people on Fox, it is not all conservative. If you don’t watch it you miss out on many important pieces of news.
The media and corrupt election officials always “call” election results before the votes are fully counted
The government officials think that they are above the law and can do what they want and the Marxists think that they can cheat because they “deserve” to win because of systemic racism “all means necessary”

I feel so manipulated by this whole election process. Just on the local level I am confused by this chart. I mean, I was sent a mail-in ballot, but I dropped it off in person to the registrars office several weeks ago, so based on this chart, which category do I fall?
I feel manipulated that vote tallying across the nation was coming in fast and furious and then all of the sudden halted in certain states right before one of the candidates was close to reaching the finish line?
Finally, I have seem multiple accounts from Republican voters in AZ and NV who said that when they check their Registrars office, it indicates that their vote was rejected of voided.
I really think that there is something wrong/sinister/fishy happening with these elections.
Ca is a one party ruled state. If your a conservative your vote will NEVER MATTER! And yes, the leftists planned this whole China Plague nightmare to remove the greatest President this country has had in decades. All because they just don’t like him and Hillary was supposed to win.

Please cite your source for this accusation. I would like to read about the illegal aliens who voted illegally since this should be stopped and that is a huge concern. If you are simply making this up or if it is hearsay then I would argue that you should not be voting. I will wait for your source, thanks.
Huh that’s funny… I checked and my ballot hasn’t even been counted yet. But the leftists already called the race for all of us suckers in Ca. Can’t wait to move out of this crap state to another were my vote will be counted.

Calif apparently has not counted/reported a single vote in the last two days. Only 74% counted…same as Nov 3 at 11pm. I’m registered on BallotTrax. They acknowledged receiving my ballot on Oct 30…. STILL NOT COUNTED, THOUGH!

Lets do the math. Per this article, half of CCC voters voted. Trump only got roughly 25% of CCC votes. That means that roughly 12% of you out there support him enough to vote for him. Thats gotta hurt…

Their is a glitch in the counting machines for Presidential election. The amazing part is it takes votes from only Republicans and gives them to Democrats. 6,000 taken from Trump so far in one county. The company that owns the counting machines has business dealings with wait for it (Clintons). Makes your stomach hurt.
