2021, finally. to a better year and the hope that people have a renewed appreciation for what they have and who they have in their lives. thats all i got.

Many people in our neighborhood have a lot of remnants of firecrackers to clean up today. I have never heard that many go off on New Years eve as last night. I hope you kept your dogs safe. There is something else that must not like firecrackers and that is wild turkeys. The open space near us is loaded with turkeys and they were competing in noise with the firecrackers at midnight. I never hear them at midnight but they were going off big time last night.
In spite of 2020 being a bad year it did show that we are all in this mess together and all seemed to be more compassionate for others. How about those doctors, nurses, and orderlies. They are really doing a great job.

If we are not in this mess together where do you live? Are you a grandparent that gets to visit your grandchildren. Do you not wear a mask outside? Are you waiting for the vaccine? Do you invite guests and neighbors into your home? Do you work at home from your computer? Just where are you different?
How will 2021 be better? nothing has changed. They are still forcibly locking us down and participating in so many illegal activities that go against our basic rights. I am happy you are thinking positively, but this is just realism.
No, we are NOT in this mess all together. ALL of the fascists from Newsom on down to the local county health directors are and have been drawing paychecks throughout this mess. Meanwhile, millions of jobs have been lost in the state of CA, tens of thousands of businesses have been destroyed, and there is no end in sight.
That is about as far as one can get from “we’re all in this mess together”. Wake up.
Honda and Ricardo, Good comments. Happy New Year to everyone. No one knows what this year will bring. I always choose to feel optimistic when starting a New Year, despite everything I do think 2021 will be better.

I live in Clayton, no I do not wear a mask when outdoors, I do all my shopping online food and merchandise (why the hell would I want to even shop in a store) as I’ve done for last several years, I do drive thrus and door dash for food just like I’ve done for years, I am not waiting for any vaccine as I’m not gonna get it, and I have family and friends over frequently just like I’ve done for many years.
I’m retired in my early 50s and don’t have a damn thing to worry about financially, so NO I am not in this together with everyone else.
Did I leave anything out?
