The family of a missing Pleasant Hill man is asking for your help to locate him.

The man’s name is Erik Zielinski. He’s 28-years-old, about 5’8″, 130lbs. He has memory issues and a history of seizures, according to his wife, Erica.

He was last seen on Monday wearing a black sweat suit and a grey trucker hat.

He left the house with a bicycle he was trying to get fixed and a big black backpack and sleeping bag. He knew a street guy that fixes bikes and was going to donate the bags to someone in need, his wife said.

He was believed to be going to the area of Contra Costa Blvd. and Concord Ave.

If you have any information on Erik’s whereabouts, please call your local police.

I hope he’s found and safe.

I hope there’s no foul play, and he returns home safe. Prayers.

Thanks Claycord for publishing this story.

Wasn’t there another young contra costa man who has gone missing recently? I hope that he returns home safely.

Yes, in Martinez. These occurances are terribly disturbing! Please dont allow-especially with disabilities – to venture into unknown territory alone. My prayers are with the family.

This doesn’t sound quite right to me. Hope he is found quickly, though

I feel the same way.

I’m going through through the sameheartbreak .. mental health issues…he’s safe – will be found

I hope this guy turns up safe and prayers to the family.

I’m praying this young man is found safe 🙏❤️🙏

Good luck Zielinski family, hoping for the best for you!!

I hope he is safe and well

Hmmmm

Android has a find my phone app, as does apple. Just setting to consider.

Don’t know if this is positive or negative but my money is on he is on a road trip.

Story mentioned him going to help a homeless person and seek their help on a bike repair – and that he had seizure & memory issues. .I’m not a detective but first place to check are those camps to see if he fell prey to any harm there. I wish the family well and hope for a good outcome.

He left with a bag and sleeping back and bike to see a street guy about getting it fixed?

The whole story sounds odd to me. Either way, hopefully he is okay.

I sincerely hope he is ok and that his wife doesn’t have to worry much longer.

However… this is not normal behavior. Most people don’t just “know a homeless guy that fixes bikes” and actually go to see said guy. Let alone brings a sleeping bag “to donate”, a backpack, and no wallet. Unfortunately this is probably more of a personal problem, like drugs, or mental health issues and poor decision making.

Praying for him. This is so scary.

Is there a update

I saw a woman with flyers going into the homeless camps at Market and Concord Ave. I assumed she was looking for him. I wondered if she were his mother. Made me cry. Whoever she was, she was brave and determined! I hope they find him, and I wish someone was looking for every homeless person to bring them home as doggedly as she was.

I saw a young man who matches this description walking along Ygnacio valley Blvd. today, Wednesday. What caught my eye was he was walking with a sleeping bag wrapped around him and had a black backpack. I think the sleeping bag had some red on it. I saw him twice while I was running an errand down by the hospital.

So you did notify the Police……. right? That’s how we find missing people. Every lead is important!

I saw a homeless looking guy this morning in his old truck near Turtle Creek this morning. In the back of his truck was a bunch of stuff and a bike. The bike was out of place and looked similar to the one in the picture. I called the Concord and Pleasant Hill police department to report it and I can tell you this…neither of them cared about a “possible lead”.

I had a lead and called the pleasant hill police department and they added it to the case notes. So, it’s worth a shot. (925) 288-4600

There is a man who feeds all the homeless in Concord daily. He knows all of them and I sent the information to him. Also Concord cleared out all of the homeless yesterday, Wednesday. Still sounds odd but maybe the person he was looking for had moved. Hoping he is found safe!

Hope you find him. I ride my bike daily and will keep an eye out for him.

Is there an update on this young gentleman I hope he has returned home safely

Is there any update on this young gentleman I hope he was found safely and home with his family

Unfortunately, he’s still gone. Thank you to all for the kind words and prayers.

I just read a post from an hour ago saying he’d been found. No other info.

Pleasant Hill Police posted he was found safe on their Facebook page. Claycord, maybe update the story so all can know? Following Claycord from the beginning, keep up the good work!
