Almost Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chip Cookies (Wife makes these)
1 pound butter
2.5 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
2 t vanilla
6 cups flour
1.5 t baking soda
1.5 t salt
2 cups nuts
4-6 cups chocolate chips
Mix Butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time, add vanilla. Fold in flour, then nuts and chocolate.
Bake 350 degree on parchment paper 8-10 minutes

Yes Dr. Jelly…she always goes big. She gets a hankering and bakes what she has a craving for then sends the rest to work with me so she doesn’t eat them all. She is addicted to baking.

Oatmeal raisin with chopped walnuts. The only way to eat oatmeal!

Definitely home made chocolate chip, but some of those Pepperidge Farm cookies are pretty good. And I have a weakness for Tagalongs (girl scout cookies).
I liked Hydrox better than Oreo. Not that I would turn an Oreo down. Pepperidge Farms Boudreaux (butter cookie) was really tasty. As for a chocolate chip cookie, hands down homemade!

Of course, home made, just about any kind except oatmeal raisin. As far as brand, been favoring Pepperidge Farm Tahoes, or Walker Shortbread. Actually never been a fan of Oreos, would eat them, but that was due to lack of will power.
My favorites are all homemade, tollhouse, oatmeal raisin, and Pfeffernusse. I’m OK with most store-bought cookies, except for chocolate chip. My favorite store-bought cookies are Mother’s Circus Animals and Iced Oatmeal Raisin. I like most Girl Scout cookies, but my favorite is the Samoas.

Anytime especially with a New England IPA: Chips Ahoy!
Holidays: Royal Dansk Danish Butter Cookies & Biscotti with almonds and cranberries (hold the frosting).
Also Mrs. Field’s macadamia nut / milk chocolate chip cookies.

I make my own or purchase them from my local bakery.
Mother used to bake a dozen kinds of cookies at Christmas and arrange them on small plates for friends, relatives, and neighbors. We always had dessert in the house but we kids were not tempted to touch anything.

I agree there is no comparison when it comes to homemade.
As far as store bought if you have not Tried Tate’s Bake Shop Cookies (green bag) They run about $5 for a bag *but* they are so good the price is justified. I believe Target just started selling them more reasonable than Whole Foods. I have to hide the bag from the family otherwise they are gone in a matter of minutes.
