TOTAL BOLLOCKS!!!
It’s good to see that 96% of the people age 75+ in our county have been vaccinated. Now that people in our county 50 and older can get vaccinated, we should see a continuing decline in cases over the month.
Yeah Whatever. The only “Decline” is the medias Fear & Propaganda as they move on to their Next Psychological Operation.
THE VACCINE DOES NOT STOP CONVID. WHY CAN’T YOU WAKE UP????
@Anon
So you’re saying the over 2 million people who have died in 1 year, the over 500k dead in the US and the over 700 who died in our county. That’s all fake? Interesting. It’s sad there’s still people out there like you.
Yes there is a decline is so much that has happened. Media is just doing there job. You can listen or ignore them. But i would rather worry about something that turns out we shouldn’t have then just ignore it and it turns out to be bad.
@Me – you’re happy to trade your freedom for the illusion of safety. If the founding fathers felt the way you do we’d still be a British colony.
@Me
You posted: “Media is just doing there job.”
No, they are not doing THEIR job. For crying out loud, where have you been for the last five years?
@Rollo
Funny how you say founding fathers. You do understand that whole thing was rewritten so many times that i bet you don’t even know what it all meant. You should look into it. You might find it interesting. Also, I don’t live in fear. I live in what is happening just like everyone else. So yes I will take precautions.
@Cyn
Yes most are just doing there jobs. But that depends on what news outlet you want to listen to if any. I’m sure you look online for things right? Hate to tell you but most what you read is also news outlets.
Look at that hospital number – only 33 Covid patients in a county of 1.15 million people. It’s almost like important things should be open in such a low-prevalence environment … schools, perhaps!
As The Observer says, almost all the 75+ population has been vaccinated, and most of the 65+. Hospitalizations and deaths are going to stay really low even if there is a little bounce upwards in cases in the near term.
@Led
You can’t say out of 1.15 million when 1.15 million haven’t gotten the virus. Now if all 1.15 million people got the virus and only 33 were in the hospital yes that would be amazing but remember. When we hit 6k plus people infected. Hospitals hit just about max.
@Me – and you know how many people in the county have been infected how? Do you know what percentage of the 1.15 million have been infected?
@Rollo
The County Health Department reports that 5.6% of the residents have been confirmed to have had Covid-19 so far. The percentage for individual cities ranges from 16% for San Pablo, 11.6% for Bay Point, down to 2.3% for San Ramon and 1.8% in Moraga.
Epidemiologists say the true number of infections is generally 4 to 5 times higher than the number confirmed by testing.
@Me,
I’m not sure what your point is. What I said, correctly, is that with so few in the hospital with Covid, that means the number of infected and infectious people out there is very low as a percentage of our population. That’s why I said low prevalence. You seem to be agreeing with me without realizing it. Very few people in CCC currently have the virus, as a percentage of the population. That’s a good thing.
And, since we are rapidly protecting the elderly, if cases start to go up again in the next month or two, as they might, we’ll still likely see low hospital burden and few deaths.
Don’t question authority. OBEY
All of these numbers and tiers are all ridiculous manipulations of numbers. If you do the math,less than 5% of CCC has had the flu in the entire last year – divide that by 12 months and the infection rate is less than 0.5% per month. Who ever said this was an epidemic or pandemic worthy of shutting down the world. .And with the chance of up to 90% of tests being false positives it makes us all look like fools for obeying any “ordinances.” We’ve all been “had”
