Contra Costa County Passes Ordinance To Extend Protections To Commercial Tenants through June 30, 2021

Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors this week unanimously agreed to continue the temporary prohibition on evictions of certain small-business commercial tenants financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This protection now continues through June 30, 2021. Protections for residential tenants were unchanged by the urgency ordinance and last through June 30, 2021.

It also prohibits landlords from charging late fees to small business and nonprofit organization tenants, and extends to August 31, 2021, the grace period to pay back rent.

who protects the landlords, or are they just all greedy rich lowlifes who deserve to suffer?

Yes they are and yes they do.

If you want to avoid rent increases, stop voting “Yes” on every Bond Measure that comes along on the ballot. These Bond Measures increase Property Taxes, and your landlord is forced to pass the cost along to you. When you vote “Yes” on a Bond Measure, know that you will be paying for it one way or another.

Right On!

These idiots think that everyone else should pay their way and that tax hikes only affect the “rich.”
