Due to increased vaccine supply, the Contra Costa County Health Department has thousands of COVID-19 vaccine appointments available at clinics this week.
You’re eligible if:
✔️ You’re 50 or older
✔️ You’re 16 or older and have a high-risk health condition, disability or illness
✔️ You’re an essential worker
If you’re eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine, sign up HERE.
They expect to open eligibility to residents 16 years or older later this week, and anticipate a sharp rise in appointment requests.

Virus in the “sign up Here”
I don’t think so Tim.
What vaccine are they giving out at the Concord Waterpark?
Okay everyone! Wash your hands, distance 6 feet from others, wear a mask and get your vaccination.
I signed up on the county website over a month ago (as I was covered as an essential worker – in the first tier) I got a response I was on a waiting list of approx. 40,000. Still haven’t heard back from them so don’t hold your breath. I went to the State of CA site and got vaccinated the next day. Come on CoCoCo County…this is a PR stunt and you don’t have the capacity to pull this off. Going to be lot’s of frustrated people.
I had the same experience with the county website, and also went to the state website and scheduled mine for 2 weeks ago.
My husband who is in the 50-64 age group heard back from the county within 2 days and has an appointment scheduled for this week.
I had the exact same experience!
I signed up on both state and county websites as an essential worker last month.
I heard back from the county two weeks later and was able to get vaccinated three days later, but the state never contacted me.
It seems like it depends on a person…
When 50+ became eligible a week ago I signed up on the county web site, got an e-mail back that evening and made an appointment the same week. The latter process was slow because it seemed that the county appointment site was very busy but it got done.
Bull crud. I am in the first tier and still waiting
The county sucks couldn’t get one over 65.Then all of a sudden they are giving them to everyone.Politics at its best you can bet the Politicians got theres.
I don’t know wtf they’re thinking. They didn’t even respond to my first request. After my second request they did respond and said to wait for an email instructing how to make an appointment. Still waiting (50 and over)
WOW like everybody hasn’t heard this for over a year. Blah blah blah blah…
To those who have had problems getting an appointment for the vaccine through the state’s or federal website’s, do you have medical insurance? Mine is with John Muir, they called me, but I missed the call, I was at work. When I called back I got a recorded message listing all kinds of websites, sounded very confusing. However, when I call back a few days later someone picked up the phone right away and I was able to book my first appointment for 2 days later. I’m over 70.
