Contra Costa County COVID-19 data as of Sunday April 4, 2021.
All information is from the Contra Costa County Health Dept.:
- Total cases (since March) – 65,668
- Recovered cases – 64,091
- Deaths – 760
- Total active confirmed cases – 817
- Nursing home deaths – 318
- 4 active outbreaks in nursing homes
Contra Costa County COVID-19 Hospital Data:
- Patients currently hospitalized – 29
- Occupied ICU beds – 129
- Available ICU beds – 36
The State will move Contra Costa County to the “Orange Tier” once the following three criteria have been met for two consecutive weeks:
- CASE RATE: 1.0 – 3.9 daily new cases (per 100k) (currently 5.8)
- POSITIVEY RATE: 2.0 – 4.9% positive tests for entire county (currently 1.8%)
- EQUITY METRIC: Less than 5.3% positive tests for health equity quartile (currently 3.0%)
K-6 School Reopening:
- Schools have been allowed to reopen since February 9, 2021.
I’m glad to see hospitalizations dropping below 30. They seemed stuck for a week or so.
Claycord, I think the vaccination numbers are more important now than most of these other stats. The county just passed 50% of adults (anyone 16 or over) who have had at least one dose. Once that gets into the 60-70% range I think everything else is not gonna matter.
