Health officers in nine Bay Area counties announced Friday that they support recent federal guidance approving people to get vaccines for other illnesses at the same time they get a COVID-19 vaccine.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had previously recommended that people wait at least 14 days after getting the COVID-19 vaccine to get vaccinated against other preventable illnesses.
With more and more real-world evidence of the vaccines’ safety and efficacy, the CDC updated that guidance on May 14.
The Association of Bay Area Health Officials — which includes officials from the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Solano and the city of Berkeley — said Friday that it will support that guidance going forward.
“We know a lot of people have delayed getting care and regular immunizations during the pandemic. This new guidance will make it easier for people to catch up on any immunizations they’re due for when they get a COVID-19 vaccine at their provider’s office,” Contra Costa County Health Officer Dr. Chris Farnitano said.
COVID-19 vaccines are available statewide for anyone age 12 and up. Residents who get vaccinated in the next two weeks and those who have already been vaccinated will also be eligible for the state’s drawings to win part of $16.5 million in gift cards and cash prizes.

What a quandary parents will be in as they take their children in for routine childhood vaccinations and are pressured by physicians to include the Pfizer vaccine and get a gift card or lottery entry….the state is now in the business of bribing parents to inoculate! Something is not quite right with this…
This is unethical, to say the least. COVID vaccines are not even FDA approved, let alone tested combined with other vaccines for safety. Anyone that would make their child a test subject does not deserve to have children. Anyone who looked at the CDC websites data and the vaccine manufacturers’ websites would not get the COVID vaccine. There have been more reports of adverse events to VAERS in the last five months than there have been the last three years combined. There have been about 4000 deaths reported in the last five months and only 1500 in the last ten years combined.

Thank You. My older son is vaccine injured, and there was nothing I could do about it, but to warn other parents to read up before they vax your child. I chose the timing and schedule for my youngest child, and he was never vax injured.
People just blindly go along with the vax schedule, without doing research. I feel so terrible that I allowed his pediatrician to vax him when he was already sick, and I will NEVER forgive myself.

You are 100% wrong. You might want to check the FDA website. All vaccines that are in use are FDA approved. They wouldn’t be allowed to be used if not. Saying kids and others are test subjects. How do you think medications and vaccines are approved. Everything goes through trials. Men, women and kids. What you’re doing is spreading lies. If it weren’t for vaccines right now. We probably would be around 2500-4000 deaths a day still.

You should read up on the vaccines. As the Pfizer and Modern vaccines are completely safe. Spreading lies to other people is what makes things a lot harder to go back to completely safe. If it wasn’t for these vaccines do you really think we’d be open right now? No.

All Covid-19 vaccines available in the U.S. at present have been issued under Emergency Use Authorizations (EUA)–none have been licensed or approved by the FDC. In an emergency, federal law allows the issuance of medical products under one EUA but specifically defines such products as “investigational” and requires that recipients be informed of the benefits, risks, and “the option to accept or refuse administration of the product.”…vaccine development normally requires 8-10 years of research, development, and testing to demonstrate safety and efficacy before FDA approval and licensure.
Note they never say if you have had it you have natural immunity and don’t need it, despite studies that state this. They want the money.
I got the Shingrix vaccine last year at the same time as the flu vaccination. Why not double up if it is safe to do so?
