Look to the sky early Sunday around 12:40 p.m. and you will see the Memorial Squadron paying tribute to our service members in honor of Memorial Day.
The fly-over is organized by the non-profit group Memorial Squadron USA Inc. that supports veterans and veteran’s charities.
The tribute starts at the Livermore Airport and will have over 20 different types of aircraft in formation as they fly over Buchanan Field, Travis Air Force Base, Sacramento Valley National Veteran’s Cemetery, The U.S.S. Hornet, Coast Guard Island, and the Lafayette Hillside Veteran’s Memorial.
Upon the approach to Buchanan Field, they will make their mark on the sky with an eco-friendly wax product that looks like a stream of clouds coming from the plane’s tail.

It will be nice to see something respectful and patriotic during these Democrat ruled times of hate America.
I’m going to hazard a wild statistical guess and assume that the representation of either American major political party in the general population is somewhere in the ballpark of the representation in the military, and probably roughly that same percentage that have made the ultimate sacrifice. It is my belief that the American Way would be to honor all the fallen, without prejudice or caveat, and not make divisive and churlish comments on the eve of a sacred national observance.

I’m a bit alarmed. Wtf is an eco-friendly wax product? Looking online it looks like it’s involved with hair removal. Will people watchimg this stuff sprayed out wake up bald the next morning?

To expand a little on Rolaids comments. I would venture to say anybody that gave their life for their country is a patriot. Especially those who volunteered. They all fought for the freedoms you and I enjoy. How about honoring them without worried about what political party, if any, they belonged to?

Anyone remember seeing a C-5 Galaxy do a really low pass over Concord years ago .? Maybe 20 + years ago….It was Incredible ! It looked like it was Landing..Anyone-have a Picture of that ?
OMG.. I was driving on Concord Ave then Contra Costa Blvd when it was just overhead. It was mind blowing. I recall thinking something was wrong.. like why there? .. and why soooo low? People were calling in to KFRC asking what’s going on? It was spectacular!

I live under the flight path to Buchanan, so I see planes coming and going everyday. I’ve been outside washing the car and doing other chores since 12:30, here it is a little after 2:30 and the only planes I’ve been seeing are just the small private planes and a jet or two that fly by everyday.
