Gas prices in California remain the highest in the nation, according to AAA.
The average price for a gallon of gas in California is now $4.20, which is an increase of $.10 per gallon in the past 14 days.
Mono County has the highest average price for a gallon of regular gas in California, at $4.93.
One year ago, the average in California was $2.90.
The cheapest (average) price for a gallon of gas in the U.S. is currently in Louisiana, at $2.70 a gallon.
… I’ve commented on this before but I will again… this is another undelivered campaign promise by Newsom… he promised to get under the gas price gouging by the oil companies (particularly in the Bay Area) and get prices in line with the rest of the country ….especially given how Cali has so many refineries (even though he’s making it so uncomftorable to do business here)….. did he deliver? another noooooooooo

So he will now pass a law that says if you are disproportionately impacted you can get gas at a cheaper rate (free) because it is not fair that you can not afford it … and it must be based on some sort of discrimination, racism, or another inequity ….

High gas prices have been a goal of Democrats and Progressives because only the wealthy should be able to drive as often as they wish. Kinda like to toll lanes on the freeway.
Meanwhile, gas prices here are back down under $2.70, and most Krogers have a gas station so I can usually fill up for $2.40 or less a gallon. And I don’t think we have a refinery in the state. THAT tells me high gas prices in California are a self-inflicted wound.
Yeah, took a pic of a gas pump in California the other day. Wish I would post it. 18.4 Cent federal tax, 50.5 cent local and state tax, for a total of 68.9 cent total excise tax per gallon. Its absolutely asinine. People keep voting for these stupid gas taxes, time and time again. The money never goes for anything they say it does because there is always a little sentence somewhere buried in the language that lets them use it as a slush fund or for something completely unrelated. Follow the money.

For electrical system can’t even keep her air conditioners on in the summer anymore how the hell is going to charge all those electric cars? Absolutely they want to force EV sales through high gas prices. They feel Californians are too stupid to calculate pay back time before making a decision to buy.
They will offer low Cash Flow High Interest loans on EV’s with absurd amortization schedules. So all low income people can have a Tesla however they will make payments for ten or more years. Rather than have banks shoulder the underwriting risk, they will use Government money so citizens pay for the high default rates.
Further, Nancy, Gavin, and the other California elite will continue to make money with insider trading EV stock transactions funneled into their family LP.
In short, it will make the poor poorer, and the rich richer as expected.

One year ago, no one was driving so of course gas prices were lower. They’re jacking up the price to make up for lost revenue in 2020.

I expect to see segregated gas pumps in the near future.
One pump with high gas prices for white/orange people, and all the other pumps with low gas prices for the Underprivileged (defined as everybody other than straight white people).

Sorry to disappoint you, but both our 4WD pick-up and SUV will not be off the road. And I can say with the utmost certainty that every single person we know who drives SUVs, will most certainlynot keep them off the road either. It’s what we all drive and we’re not all going to walk.

Sure – a 30 mile one-way commute to the job. Going where bikes are allowed would stretch that to about 42 miles. An 84-mile round trip commute each day in good weather. That turns a10 hour day into at least a 15 hour day, assuming your ass doesn’t get run off the road.

So figure on 16+ hours/day.
