Lol, 680 N & S between Hwy 4 and Marina Vista is ALL due to Republic services transfer trucks as well as their garbage trucks.
If I have to video and prove it…..I’ll submit my fee schedule as I do not work for free. Cal Trans can get their employees on this issue and prove me wrong.
It will pile back up as fast as they can clean it up.

This state should be spotless.
I believe the original proposal included an additional $400 million to support local artists. That was nixed, and instead, priority will be given to hire local artists for trash collection. lol
No matter, Newsom is GONE!
So they don’t clean up the highways unless there’s a “program”??

Seriously, what happened to all the DUI offenders that are always on the side of the road cleaning up? They not only work for free, they have to pay the court for the privilege.

You don’t realize until you drive through another state
How about we hold Republic waste transfer services accountable for the trash they let fly out of their trucks all day up and down Hwy4 and 680… I live off PCH and see trash flying out of their trucks daily. I’m sure a few hefty fines would motivate them to adopt a better solution for covering they’re open top trailers on their trucks. I do have video to prove it, I’ve sent it to CHP, still seeing it happen daily. Fix the root of the problem, don’t just mask it. During my military days I was deployed to a Third World country and that’s the only thing I can compare the buildup of trash along our freeways too.
Don’t even care, why aren’t they using prisoners and individuals who can’t pay fines clean it up.
Bring back chain gangs to do road clean up and such.
Remember back in the 70s when teen drivers got a moving violation ticket, they got ordered by a judge to do weekend roadside cleanup and weed abatement? Whatever happened to that? Can imagine if that was reinstated today? You would probably see the kids mommies out there doing the work for all the coddled snowflake young adult babies.
Hmmm, would such an effort be undertaken and such a large sum of money spent if newsom was not facing a recall vote in September ? ? ?
… nope – you hit the nail on the head…. and all the complaining about the $200M for the cost of the recall 🙁
Such a demeaning move for Newscum to livestream a cleanup crew working hard during the summer. No doubt, Newscum gets to sit back on a cushy office chair, with the A/C full blast, eating his French Laundry take out, while watching those grunt worker peasants pick up heaps of litter.
Gavin loves to spend that extra money (what we call taxes) on his pet projects. Pay people to get their shots and now paying Caltrans a bonus to do their job. STOP TRYING TO BUY VOTES WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS. I can’t wait for the recall.
