I heard sirens around 7:30 this morning and was concerned that it was an accident involving a student. Is this the one?

So sorry to hear this about the lady. People drive too fast, not paying attention because on their cell phones, fast drivers use our residential streets to commute and access freeways. The City of Concord needs to put a freeway bypass to stop the traffic that are doing 60 miles per hour during commuting hours on Concord Blvd., Clayton and Willow Pass. I’ve had many drivers encroach upon the crosswalk while still crossing. So many streets in Concord do not have sidewalks and people are speeding by you. It’s very dangerous and unsettling that our residential areas are being used for commuters to bypass the major Blvds. Concord needs to put money into stopping the commuter traffic in our residential neighborhoods. Landsman and Lynwood are used to get onto Hwy. 4. It’s just a matter of time before someone else is killed.
