Are you hearing the thunder and seeing the lightning in Claycord this morning?
UPDATE: A pole was struck by lightning on Olive Drive and a tree was struck by lightning on Iowa Drive.

I hear noises but didn’t know it was thunder. Just waking up
Wasn’t expecting the thunder and lightning but it’s nice to have some rain for a change.
Reminds me of living in Nebraska.

Holy crap! Just had the loudest most violent thunder I’ve ever heard! Huge lighting strike- big explosion sound- power out immediately- every car alarm on the block going off. Shortly followed by another big lighting burst and hail! Wow!
What neighborhood? Never heard thunder that loud and from back east. Thought neighbors house exploded?
It’s been hitting in Valley Terrace setting off all the car alarms.
Power is out in the Olive Dr area.
Literally woke up thinking we were getting bombed!
I love it! At first I thought it was the neighbor rolling away left out garbage cans. Then they got louder and louder. I’m enjoying this yes.
Had a couple of close, loud ones right over the house. Poor puppers won’t stop shaking. 🙁
Thunder and lightning was simultaneous so was very close here, the Olive Dr. hit. Freaked out the cats.

Then the ⚡️THUNDER⚡️ came and it sounded like a bomb exploding!!

Yes, seen lighting, hear thunder, and saw a bit of hail…. wow!
First loud thunder made me think of a wreck might be nearby. Second sent me outside and I could smell rain in the air. Not much in the way of rain here. The sidewalk got damp but not fully wet. Already dried up. But it was nice to hear it so loud and actually see the lightning.
UPDATE: Power back on in Dana Estates at 8:19 am.

Pretty sure it hit our house somewhere. Never heard lighting before it hit and it sounded like missiles at first!😬
I was sleeping, having a nice dream, when I awoke to the sound of a roar of thunder off in the distance. I looked at the clock, and thought, “it’s too early to get up.” I rolled over and went back to sleep, hoping to finish that dream.
Makes me wonder if that may have started the structure fire in concord.

Power just went out again got the call from PG&E. Says same number of people affected as this am. Anyone?
It sure did sound close. No booming, no rolling thunder. No thunder at all. Just a few really big SHEBANGS(!!!) and KABLOOIES(!!!). Anyone know the cross street on Olive?
