Wren Avenue in Concord has been shut down in front of the elementary school.
Police have not confirmed the reason for the closure, but we have heard they’re waiting for the Walnut Creek Bomb Squad and/or bomb sniffing dogs to arrive.
School was dismissed a little after 1 p.m. today, so no children are currently on campus.
Yes there was kids on campus, the after school program was still in session. They evacuated all the kids and staff through the back of the school. I had to pick my child up from The baseball field off Farm Bureau Rd.
Yes children were on campus they still had after school program going on. Children walked to the park across the street and parents were called immediately to pick them up.
It’s terrible when something like this happens anyplace.
At an Elementary School, it’s even more terrible.
Who would want to endanger children?
No one should endanger children.
It’s seems like criminals and terrorists always want to target either the most innocent people or the most useless people to target.
What’s the point of wanting to bomb an elementary school?
Is potentially spending years in prison worth it for wanting to bomb an elementary school ?
What ideology or agenda are you filling for doing so?
These are the types of questions I want to ask these individuals.
A pipe bomb was placed at my high school. I was stuck in algebra for 5 hours while the school was on lockdown.
@Paul….So did you learn the finer aspects of algebra in those 5 hrs?
@nytemuvr…that 5 hrs of solving quadratic equations using the completing the square and factoring methods made me nut when I knew the solution(s) could be found less than 4 minutes by using the quadratic formula and a ti-83 calculator.
If anyone going to ask me to find the roots of a quadratic equation using the two mentioned methods, I’m gunna toss a 🖕💣.
@Paul….But did you figure out the value of “X” yet?…we used to solve that all without calculators but a lot of pencil eraser dust. And we were in Intermediate School, that was when there was at least 20 less elements on the periodic table….the Ancient Times.
… anybody know of disposition?
