There’s been another shoe theft from a front porch in Concord.
We’re not sure if it’s the same guy who stole multiple pairs of shoes from a porch in North Concord in early July, but it appears to possibly be the same man.

Maybe he’s homeless and needs shoes, or brings them to other homeless. However, I don’t understand the need to leave one’s shoes on front porch. Bring them inside, and problem fixed.
My guess would be nice new plush white carpet. Or could be a stinky foot deal. Had a brother in-law that had it real bad. His wife would make him leave them in the driveway…I have unfortunately had the experience of it and I must say. SHE WAS CORRECT. RIP Billy. We love you.

@America – I think your missing the point. No one has any business being on someone else’s property without their permission and taking items that do belong to them. You appear to be part of the problem with “America” today. Theft is not a right!
Many homes are “shoeless” the idea being that you leave your germ ridden, smelly shoes outside where they can’t contaminate your home with germs from all the disgusting things you’ve stepped on during the day (dog poo, gum, spit, etc.).
The moisture from sweat or other sources of wetness have some time to dry outside in the nice fresh air & sunshine and don’t smell bad afterwards.
It’s a cultural thing. To some cultures bringing the shoes inside the home is like bringing your garbage can inside the home. (So I was Told)
Plot twist: this man makes $200,000 a year and owns two homes. This shoe theft is purely a fetish thing.
Do not leave your Rolex watches on the front porch.
You should be immediately suspicious of anyone still wearing a mask. Espcially anyone under the age of, say, 60.
They’re wearing it because it allows them to opportunistically commit crimes whenever they like with a lower likelihood of being caught.
Masks allowed and encouraged tons of crime during the pandemic. They still do!

I was separated from a pair of climbing work boots, expensive for me at the time.i remember how mad I was at the time, I just polished them and put them in the sun to dry, broad daylight,boom gone. I laugh about it now, glad I don’t live in California anymore.
I don’t think plush white carpet is a factor. I’m not going to discuss the bugs…and ya can’t make me!
To bad we all could not rig something to be able to catch the thief. Sorry but stealing is stealing and that is a crime. May karma bite him in the after life when it will hurt a “hell” of a lot more than the punishment he is evading here.

@NoMoreFreeRide. You think I am part of the problem? No so! I am not excusing the guy being on someone’s property and stealing shoes. I was simply trying to get inside his head as to why he is doing such a thing. However, if someone leaves stinky shoes outside their house, it might be a blessing to have them stolen. There are medical and hygiene treatments for stinky feet, armpits, and sweaty palms! If you have nice carpet inside and don’t want the carpet soiled, provide a space inside for people to leave their shoes. Duh!

The sad part is its not just shoes. On my neighnorhood ring its the stealing of everything. There are these individuals who roam our streets looking for stuff to steal all night long. They are like zombies. Okay you clever people come up with a name for these theifs.
