A driver died Wednesday evening after his SUV veered off state Highway 24 and crashed into a tree in Orinda, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck was reported shortly after 6 p.m. along the freeway near the Camino Pablo exit, where a Ford Explorer went off the road.
The driver, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
There were no other people in the vehicle.
The CHP said the crash is under investigation.
Any witnesses? Did he or she get run off of the road?
Some guy just got shot and killed because he turned on his windshield wipers and it splashed a couple of drops onto another car.
