The Concord Police Department’s Traffic Unit and the Patrol Division are teaming up this weekend to apprehend DUI drivers.

Saturday night, the traffic unit will be out in full force conducting vehicle stops, identifying impaired drivers and making arrests when appropriate.

This event is made possible by a grant, given by the California Office of Traffic Safety.

Enjoy the weekend, stay safe, drive sober and have fun.

I’m delighted that Concord PD will be on patrol.

People need to be responsible.

The more police the better.

Fantastic, they can spend the resources over 8 hours to catch a couple DUI suspects. How about putting a couple units at Concord Blvd and Glazier and ticketing 20 speeders a minute?
