Clayton Valley Food Center – 1960s

Here’s an advertisement for the old Clayton Valley Food Center (above), which was located at Clayton Rd. and Bailey Rd. in Concord (the building is between Jack in the Box and Taco Bell).

The advertisement is from the 1960s.

And here’s what it looks like today (below). It was previously Rosewood House for several years, and now it houses Tomizaki’s Champions Kung Fu.

Just a couple doors down for the once incredible breakfast spot: Jeanne’s Café.

My husband and mother-in-law worked at Jeannie’s for years. I lent them my French fri cutter for the cafe and someone stole it😢. It was in my family for years! So sad!
