National Weather Service Anticipates Chilly Mornings, Possible Rain Next Week

The National Weather Service is anticipating a cold airmass entering the Bay Area next week, the agency said.

Morning lows could dip down in to the 30s in some areas, NWS said. There is also a chance for rain at the end of next week, though NWS says at this time its confidence in that is “low.”

The colder temps are set to begin on Tuesday morning with potentially freezing temperatures lasting through the end of the week.

San Francisco will be warmest on Tuesday morning at 42 degrees, with more inland areas such as Concord ranging from 30 to 35 degrees.

More “global warming” I see. We’ve been on a cooling trend for 9 years. Looks like I may have solved keeping PG&E from dipping into my bank account more with my current heating strategy. I’ll see how well it works this coming week given the “weather menu”.

If your secret strategy seems to work, even a tiny bit, SHARE the secret 😲. I asked around, and checked charts online, and PG&E electricity at $.32/kwh is near or more than DOUBLE what they are paying in the Eastern states. And unless I’m willing to climb on a ladder to read my meter several times per day… I’m going to continue to believe they are cheating me.

I know I’m going against the grain here but I do use the smart meter so I can see how my experiments work out. I heard or read somewhere (possibly here) that currently natural gas costs less to heat a house than electricity. From what I’m seeing that seems to be true.

I used to run a space heater in the living room but that didn’t help any. I also conditioned myself to a colder house usually 68 degrees or less.

If my budget wasn’t so tight I would have put in solar heating because we are wasting quite a bit of sunlight even on cold days that could warm the house.

Of course there are those “extra fees” they seem to come up with too. So in a week or so I’ll see how truly well I did in November but so far so good.

I’d like the National Weather Service to reconsider this forecast.
I have a very busy week ahead of me and much of it involves outdoor activities late in the week.
Could we possibly hold off on any wet weather until the following week?

We will probably not receive any rain until next year. When the weather personnel use words like “possibly, likely, and maybe” those are code words for ZERO.

.
I’m sure some left-winger is dreaming up another weather tax.
