The Contra Costa Water District is alerting residents about a possible error with their water bills, which has been corrected.

Here’s the statement from the Contra Costa Water District:

“Due to an issue converting data to our new billing system, some Contra Costa Water District customer bills dated December 2 through December 5, 2022 erroneously listed charges for two billing cycles. This issue only impacted customers whose meters were last read on October 4, 2022. The problem has been fixed and bills have been cancelled and are being reissued. Customer accounts on an autopay agreement, including EasyPay, were not charged for this incorrect amount. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. If you have any questions, please contact us at (925) 688-8000.”
