Usually Jan 8th – or at least the outside lights. Rest of it inside – as I get around to it.

Oh you just HAD to bring this up didn’t you?!? Look I am busy, I am tired and I have many other important things to do….I can’t just drop everything and start putting all those decorations away. I just don’t have much time.
(I was just rehearsing for when that inevitable question is really asked of me around here)
JP Cards – I’m on to you. Excuses, excuses, blah, blah, blah. So what is it exactly that you DO, do? Name that movie.

The 6th of January, of course, which is the twelfth day of Christmas, when the wise men showed up with the presents.
At least, that’s when we stop lighting up – we actually take the lights down the following weekend if it’s dry.

We take ’em down when the women folk tell us to. Don’t bother to deny it any of you!
It’s easier to just take it all down rather than be endlessly nagged…. the slow torture of hen pecking is worse than hours of contorted labor at the top step of the ladder.

Ours are done! My husband and I do it together. All Christmas decorations are put away! Whew!!!
Until next year… I’m getting to old for this. Our grandson put them up and we take them down.

In theory, I like waiting until after Epiphany. In practice, it depends on finding a dry day to bring in the outside lights.
When the black-eyed’s are simmerin’
New Years Day usually
Whenever I manage to get to it. And that is if we manage to decorate in the first place!
.
Before the end of the first full weekend of the new year.
.
If you don’t put any decorations up you don’t have to take them down. Life has gotten so easy.
Usually before January 14, so we can decorate for St Valentine’s Day, which we do.
New Year’s Day.
Never, just like Santa’s Village
you’re agein’ yourself there…..
🙂
