UPDATE: Almost 100,000 People Without Power In The Bay Area (21K In The East Bay)

Nearly 96,000 customers around the Bay Area are impacted by power outages on Wednesday night as an atmospheric river drenches the region, according to PG&E.

Most of the outages are on the Peninsula, where 41,189 were without power as of 7:45 p.m. according PG&E spokesperson Karly Hernandez.

The outages are affecting 12,686 in the North Bay; 6,722 in San Francisco; 21,097 in the East Bay; and 13,861 in the South Bay, according to PG&E.

I was sure happy to have a fireplace during the power outages due to our Christmas deep freeze.
