Storm-Related Erosion Of Downtown Danville Creek Embankment Closes Front Street

Storm-related erosion of the downtown creek embankment has caused the town of Danville to close the northbound side of Front Street from Diablo Road to Rose Street.

The entire street will be closed Friday morning for repairs. Town officials say the embankment will be stabilized and a tree will need to be removed to prevent further damage to the road.

Drivers should use Rose Street as an alternate route.

Front street may soon be named River street! Hope the city has to go through the same process as a homeowner before removing the tree.

No.
.
Government doesn’t have to follow its own regulations when it is deemed an “emergency” or threat to public facilities like streets and sidewalks.

The cities do nothing about erosion. The canal behind my house is taking my backyard and the city won’t do a damn thing! They are way too cheap and lazy to upkeep their own city.
