The Pleasant Hill Police Department graveyard team was dispatched to burglary in progress on Contra Costa Blvd. on Sunday morning.

An alert citizen said two people broke into a locked apartment building and were currently breaking into mailboxes.

Officers arrived and caught the suspects, who were trying to flee.

Both suspects had arrest warrants and evidence of the crime, including the stolen vehicle they arrived in to commit their thievery, police said.

The two suspects, who police did not identify, were booked into county jail.

I wouldn’t want MY car crushed. Just returned would be nice. I would, however, like to see the names and photos of the suspects for once.
Good job alert citizen! See something, say something.

What a shock they had warrants. Names a booking photo would be nice. Good job PHPD for catching them.

Good job PHPD, but unfortunately our WOKE D.A will let them out asap so they can continue to keep up with their thieving.

Many worked to elect Mary Knox for DA in last June’s election, but voters chose Becton DA who received campaign contributions from Gorge Soros’s organization (California Justice and Public Safety PAC). Soros wants social justice DA’s that have destructive policies: defund police, letting criminals go, & risking public safety.

Arrest warrants and driving a stolen car. Can they be reformed?

The Fearless Spectator January 9, 2023 - 10:09 AM - 10:09 AM

Sadly, that question will likely be debated for their entire lives. Great script for a tombstone:
“He was finally reformed”.

Never understood this whole sideshow stuff. What is the point…if that’s what brings joy to yourself you have major issues and shouldn’t even be able to operate a motor vehicle.

The Fearless Spectator January 9, 2023 - 10:25 AM - 10:25 AM

Your comment is not under the correct post, however there is an answer to your question.
Ever notice when attending a rock concert, the lead guitarist during his solo will point his guitar heavenward, run notes up his guitar neck, grab the last three highest notes and repeat them over and over and over as fast as he can?
Well that means the same thing in pretty much any language. A sideshow driver is performing the automotive equivalent of that.

Good job LE! ….. but why no names or photos of the perps? …. I don’t think we need them anyway… and keep ’em in the pokey this time!

Pepe January 9, 2023 - 7:54 AM - 7:54 AM

Great job PHPD! Too bad you wasted your time. The perps are probably already out committing more crimes. Thank you for arresting the same criminals over and over again, trying to keep us safe. Cops have one of the hardest jobs imaginable. They have to watch their back fighting scum bag criminals all day then they have to watch their back for the scumbag politicians trying to throw them under the bus every chance they get.

WHEN ? ? ? ?
Will DA and FEDs get tough and start handing out long sentences ? ? ? ? ?
.
If there is no threat of incarceration,
there is no deterrence to criminal behavior
