Several dozen homes in the area of Rancho View Dr., on the border of Lafayette and Pleasant Hill are without power today, according to PG&E.

The cause is a tree that fell against PG&E power lines.

PG&E says power was lost just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday, and it should be restored by noon on Wednesday.

.
Smart homeowners would have gasoline-powered generators.
.
I suggest buying one this year because Newsom signed AB1346 banning the sale of equipment with “small engines” (less than 25 hp) starting in 2024.
.
THIS IS YOUR GOVERNMENT AT WORK.

Great idea, Exit 12A. I just picked up a portable inverter generator that runs on gas, propane or natural gas. If the power goes out and I lose power to my sump pump, the basement will flood and submerge my water heater. This happened during the heavy rains 12 years ago. And with the price of food nowadays, I rather keep the fridge and freezer running.
