Here’s a photo of the old Concord Community Hospital (now John Muir Concord).

Did you know? Tom Hanks was born at Concord Community Hospital. Hanks was born in Concord on July 9, 1956, but spent the first five years of his childhood on Derby Ct. in Pleasant Hill before moving to Oakland.

Tom Hanks hasn’t made a good movie in at least 10 years.

Heard from a family member. Nice Historical picture with the vehicles. Bet those trees in front are 100′ tall now.

I was told by my grandmother, this hospital started in the basement of the house that sat on this property back in the 40’s & 50’s.

Yes, Electromaniac, you are correct…I was born in the house in 1954.

Tom’s first movie was also his finest. “Bachelor Party.” Awesome and never gets old.

Yes, this makes sense. Tom Hanks went to Skyline High School in the Oakland hills. My brother-in-law graduated the same year as Tom Hanks from that school.
