The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue team is starting recruitment for its September academy.

To get an application, anyone who is interested has to go through an orientation. Those are scheduled on the first Thursday of each month from February until June. To register to attend the orientation please fill out an interest form on the Contra Costa Search and Rescue website.

An oral interview and background check are required before training for the academy.
