Always preferred Emporum Capwell’s over Macy’s. Carried the same merchandise but it was at least 20% less at EC. My second credit card was EC as I worked in Oakland and was a frequently flyer of the bargain basement as I parked in the lot behind EC. The good old days….shop the basement, grab some food to go from the Downtown Foodmart and my car which was parked the attendans booth would be warmed up for me.

As A kid in the early 70s I always had the Emporium Capwell’s catalog…so many cool things, the styles, the trends and of course the toys. Very cool.
