The following is from the Antioch Police Department:

Another illegal unregistered firearm seized by Officer Milner. Last night, March 6, at around 6:50 pm, Officer Milner stopped a vehicle near the Days Inn on Auto Center Drive for several vehicle code violations.

The driver was a 19-year-old male who lived in Richmond.

Officer Milner saw the pictured marijuana in plain view and knew the driver was under the age of 21, which is a violation of Health and Safety code 11357.

Officer Milner searched the vehicle and the driver. The pictured firearm was in his possession, and he was arrested for various firearm related offenses.

The usual cry, “Don’t let him out on no bail”. Maybe don’t let him out.

Why would you oppose bail for someone arrested for exercising his 2nd Amendment rights who happens to be a minor in possession of an otherwise legal controlled substance.

I doubt there be much opposition to bail if the 19-year old defendant named Jacob Russo from Walnut Creek got nabbed with a case of Jack Daniels and an unregistered .30-06 lever-action rifle.

In the middle of what?

Plenty of lamorinda residents own firearms, and many of the older teens smoke pot and even sell it to their pals.

Do the Second Amendment and California Health & Safety Code not apply with equal force in all of the state’s municipalities?

@Larry
I can tell you do not venture outside of the Lamorinda area. Antioch was one a hardworking blue collar city that is now overrun with criminal activity.
Keep voting democrat and we will see what happens to the Lamorinda area.

Unregistered firearm? I thought we had gun laws to prevent these from being on the streets, which would reduce gun violence. Reality seems much different then what spewed out at some politicians press conference. Keep believing them!

“Illegal, unregistered firearm”. Looks like a G26 and the serial number is right there under the barrel. At some point, it was “registered” so was it ever reported stolen or was it stolen from a firearms dealer? I wish police would give us more facts about this type of crime, makes you wonder how accurate crime stats that are used to oppose legal gun ownership are.
