The Concord Pavilion has been renamed the “Toyota Pavilion at Concord.”

The name was officially changed last Thursday.

In other news, everyone will still call it the Concord Pavilion.

.
How much does Concord get for the naming rights? And what is the term of the contract?
.

My thought exactly. How much went under the table?

The Toyota Pavilion at Concord. Where entertainers play when Shoreline is booked.

Shoreline is an amazing venue makes pavillion look awful and cheap.

.
I went to a concert at Shoreline shortly after it opened. The place still smelled like the landfill it is built on.
.
In and out sucks worse than the Pavilion.

Call it what you want, it’s still the same old run down venue. Remember back in the day when they provided a very good summer line up? Notice bands now are bypassing the place for other venues with better sound systems and more seating? This place has a lot NOT going for it.

*sigh* Such ignorance… Bands don’t pass up the Pavilion because other venues have “better sound systems.” For your information, bands actually bring their own sound systems and their own sound crews on the tour. If a band’s sound system is bad, it’s what they brought as part of their tour.

Bands playing in big arenas typically use a combination of their own speakers and the venue’s PA system. The band’s own speakers, also known as stage monitors, are used to provide the musicians with a mix of their own instruments and vocals. The venue’s PA system, on the other hand, is used to amplify the sound for the audience. The sound engineer for the band typically works with the venue’s sound engineer to ensure that the sound is balanced and clear for both the musicians and the audience.

Stupid

Snoop Dogg and Too $hort are coming!!!!!

Thanks Claycord.. I always will.

Live Nation treats this facility as an afterthought. City of Concord should no renew the contract with Live Nation when it is up. Concord Pavilion: Home to B-List and C-List entertainment.

I love that venue, if the city can make money of the naming rights, good for them. Its better than the Sleeptrain. I wouldnt go to Shoreline if you paid me.
