Anytime, day or night, people in Contra Costa County can now access immediate support during a behavioral health crisis.
Contra Costa Health’s A3 program will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. People facing a behavioral health, mental health or substance use crisis can call the A3 Miles Hall Crisis Call Center 24/7 at 844-844-5544 for care over the phone and have an in-person team dispatched to them if needed.
The need for A3’s robust, immediate response is evident, with behavioral health issues the third most common call ambulances respond to in the county. People needing behavioral health crisis support can call A3 to talk to trained professionals who can provide care over the phone and connections to follow-up care or send a team to respond in person when needed. Most callers’ needs are resolved over the phone.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a behavioral health crisis, call the A3 Miles Hall Crisis Call Center at 844-844-5544. Learn more at cchealth.org/a3 or watch a video about the program.
If I need immediate help due to a situation I am still calling the police not some “response team”
Hopefully you or someone you love never makes the mistake of calling the police when what you really need is a response team. That’s crazy fatal too.
Wish my medical doctor had this service.
Aside from this relatively new service, the Contra Costa Health Department lists a 24-hour Access Line at 1-888-678-7277 for mental health resources. The Contra Costa Mobile Response Team phone is 1-833-443-2672. You can quick dial 211, 988, or 911 for various assistance, crisis or emergency situations. How many of these services are duplicative? Is A3 serving an unmet need or just adding staff and overhead?
“Miles Hall Crisis Call Center” I know the investigating officer, if the center had responded on Miles Hall and “send a team to respond in person when needed” instead of the Police there would have been dead bodies. What Snowflakes. Miles needed treatment that he was not getting.
calling em right now!!!
Good, people in crisis having a place to call for help is long overdue. Can’t get mad at that.
Can they help with a behavioral problem like a woman who better stop b*tching at me before I lose control and smack her ?
Oh! Just asking for a friend.
