Several BART stations in the East Bay are closed Thursday morning because of a network computer problem.
The transit agency initially issued an alert at about 10:10 a.m. about the problem, which has shut down all stations between Hayward and Berryessa/North San Jose.
The other stations closed between those two are South Hayward, Union City, Fremont, Warm Springs/South Fremont, and Milpitas. Southbound trains are turning around at the Bay Fair station during the closures.
BART officials advised people to seek alternate means of transportation until the problem is resolved. Alameda-Contra Costa Transit and Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority buses are providing mutual aid during the closure.
Hmm,
Did someone do a system rebuild, seen a few go terribly wrong ? ? ?
Shades of France ? ?
Are all the backhoes accounted for ?
The powers to be, have been telling us that self-driving cars and trucks are the way of the future. Computer glitches are a real problem, just look at the poor astronauts that are stuck in space with no way to return.
BART sucks.
.
I’d rather drive… at least I know I’ll get to my destination.
