The Concord Costco gas station has officially reopened following a major renovation — and it’s now bigger and more efficient than ever. After months of anticipation, members can now take advantage of 32 brand-new gas pumps, a major upgrade designed to meet growing demand and reduce long lines during peak hours.
A Much-Needed Expansion
As one of the busiest Costco locations in the Bay Area, the Concord fuel station previously struggled with long wait times and limited pump access. With this expansion, Costco has effectively doubled its pumping capacity, offering a much faster and smoother fueling experience.
Key Improvements
The remodel goes beyond just pump count. Upgrades include:
-
Streamlined traffic lanes for easier flow in and out
-
Expanded canopy coverage for protection during rainy days
-
Modernized payment systems with quicker transaction speeds
-
Enhanced environmental features, including updated vapor recovery systems and industrial spray nozzles
These changes align with Costco’s commitment to both member satisfaction and eco-conscious operations.
Community Response
Local members have already noticed the difference. One Concord resident noted, “It’s like night and day. I used to avoid going during peak hours, but now I can fuel up without the hassle.”
In addition to enjoying more efficient fueling, members can also schedule other essential auto services at the nearby Costco Tire and Auto Center — including tire rotations, battery replacements, and even a routine oil change while they shop.
Costco’s Continued Investment in Convenience
This remodel is part of Costco’s ongoing efforts to upgrade its infrastructure to meet rising demand and modern expectations. With fuel prices continuing to fluctuate, Costco’s competitive pricing makes it a favorite for budget-conscious consumers.
If you haven’t been by yet, the upgraded Concord station is now open and ready to serve — offering more pumps, faster service, and less time spent waiting in line.
Location: Costco Gas Station, 2400 Monument Blvd, Concord, CA

They got them long, go to the other side hoses? If they do that’s 64 in my book
I always get a kick out of those folks that pull up to the island opposite the gas fill on their vehicle. Then they stretch the hose all the way to the other side, and stick their rear end out while holding the nozzle as if to challenge the cars driving through the center lane.
Didn’t they plan ahead? Nope.
They are literally made so you can do that. This isn’t rocket science.
That’s why they are referred to as “all abilities gas pumps”.
I’m not going to wait in line and have a row of pumps unoccupied. I use that method all the time and dont challenge cars driving through the center lane. There is plenty of room. Go ahead and wait a half hour in the lane your gas cap is on. Me, I will drive to the other side and wait a shorter time, fill up and leave.
Never been there.I need better performance. What kinda crap are you costo people pumping into your car?And the line ups I see there, much like widening the freeway, you just invited that many more people with no improvement.Enjoy!!
It’s Chevron gas without the additive. That’s why it’s a lot cheaper.
They have Top Tier gas. Not necessarily Chevron. See what that means.

All gasoline in California is the same gas, differentiated by additives like Techron and Shell V-Power. All refineries make the same gasoline. Period. Due to our supermajority Democratic party bureaucracy policies.
Between the vehicles in our household, we have probably easily 400k miles on Costco gas, including performance vehicles. One of the vehicles is currently pushing 200k.
Not sure what you heard about crap Costco gas, but all our vehicles are running well. We have both domestic and foreign in our driveway. To be fair, each Beckie oil change is done on mileage not some funky sensor and all service is done on time.
Ill pump my crap costco gas and eat my costco cookie. Yay.
Fill up and grab a hot dog.. Bring your significant other and make it a “date night”!
That was pretty fast, faster than I expected. Of course, I expected the CA drag of up to a year and a half, due to “environmental issues.” Great news.
Talk about quick turnaround in terms of construction. Maybe we should ask Costco to build the high speed rail.
As EVs continue their inexorable increase as a percentage of sales, brilliant move Costco!
I don’t wait in line for anything. Food, Gas, I breeze through airport security in 4 minutes with TSA Pre and CLEAR and Customs with Global entry. I use self checkout at Sams Club etc. Just a life choice. I have no patience.
At Sam’s Club, if the lines are too long, I sometimes have to drag the hose across the back of the car to fuel it. I’ve never had to do that at Costco, and I’ve never had to wait for an open pump.
32 pumps seems excessive.
But that’s Costco deal…excessive.
