BART is placing 400 posters inside its train cars targeting unwanted activities such as harassment, smoking, and unruly behavior. The new signs proclaim, “Unruly behavior can ruin a ride.”
“These new posters are a way for us to tell our riders that we hear their concerns about safety and are enforcing the Code of Conduct,” said BART Police Chief Kevin Franklin. “The posters are helpful, but the real work in making BART safer is being done on a daily basis by both our sworn and non-sworn staff who are helping us deliver on our pledge to double our visible presence in the system.”
Get the non-paying riders out of the system and things will improve. I’m sure 98.5% of those doing the unruly behavior jumped the gate to get into the system.

I’m also tired of standing on BART when some homeless person is sleeping across four seats. (The 2 next to the door and the 2 facing foward) and this is 7:30 in the morning so I think these bums have been allowed to sleep in there overnight.
Thank God! 400 posters! That will save BART. The unruly behavior shall surely be eradicated once the perpetrors view the posters.

Bustin’s some heads and jail time would do a lot to improve the behaviour of most ner do wells.
After all these years and riders who refuse to set foot on bart
and now they’re finally getting around to making an effort ? ? ?

Pan handling bullies, persons in mental difficulty, drug addicts
needing someplace warm to get out of the rain as they nod off.

Or is it possible a bart board member, a politician or influence
person had a bad experience on bart ? ? ?

Something motivated bart, we’ll have to wait-n-see what it was.
You got to remember that there were quite a few Bart Board member ( ya know, the liberal crazy kind) that wanted the trains to be available for homeless people to be sheltered in the hot weather or in the cold & rainy weather and they did not want these freeloaders removed. Only one board member Deborah Allen, had the common sense to challenge this but she was always overruled) the others thought that Bart had a duty to let poor people ride free and the unhoused to be housed on bart trains. Just another liberal social experiment gone awry.

Those are most entertaining when a TV news crew ambushes them
with hard questions. Truly, backpedaling without mirrors.
One time a guy saying to someone on Bart”you know nothing about my people if you don’t live with us” All anyone needs to do is ride Bart to learn.
“My people” oh you mean those that want what society has to offer but refuse to be an active part in it…they can rot for all I care!
It might be more useful to put those posters down in the corner of each rail car floor.
Just like training puppies.
How about a hygiene standard?
I am a world traveler. NOWHERE else in the world do I see people putting their feet on the seats; yet, in the Bay Area it happens all the time.
None of these people that do these things car read though.
