BART riders may see a brief delay getting to their trains on Friday, May 16, as new Next Generation Fare Gates will be installed at the Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre BART station. One fare gate array will remain open during construction, but riders are encouraged to allow for extra time entering and exiting the station during the work.

It’s not a 100% problem solver but it’s better than nothing…. it would be helpful f the station agents would get off their keister and do something about fare evaders

I’ve commuted on BART for 40+ yrs and have encountered maybe 5-6 station agents who were actually helpful. Most on the phone and don’t want to be bothered.

Booth almost always empty

As someone who rides bart daily i do see less homeless sleeping on trains now and cleaner trains.

They wont ever do this in Oakland or SF it would be “racciss”
