No strategy for parking in this garage @ Kaiser WC , but it works. Concur, Veranda in Concord. Parking garage was a definite miss.

I’d say the veranda lot, much worse than Costco, IMO.

Costco isn’t so bad. It’s only bad for the lazy that want to park as close to the store as
possible. I don’t go to Costco anymore, but when I did, I would enter and exit through the entrance on Detroit and always parked in the back, never had a problem. I stay away from
the shopping centers that are across from each other at Oak Grove and Ygnacio Valley,
their lots are awful. And I will go to the Home Depot in Martinez before I will go to the
Concord store because the Martinez store has better parking.

The worst parking lot always seems to be the one where my wife is trying to park.

The Veranda does not have enough spaces. The worst design goes to the Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods lot on the Buskirk side. with its excessive curbs and lack of access to get to another lane. Its exits are also poorly designed.
This lot was in my consideration, and would probably rank second worst (to me). I think someone was deliberate in such a poor design.

Clayton station with Safeway is an awful design. Also i agree concord home depot is another nightmare.
they want to cram as many cars as possible not caring for efficiency or ease of exit entrance.

imho …. Clayton Station & Costco are just fine compared to the Encina parking lot at YVR & Oak Grove in WC….. and the Orchards parking lot across the street on YVR where the Safeway is – WC

Featuring the most tow trucks:
The Orchards, often referred to as The Ditches, as cars are forever being fished out of the ditches. Most parking lots prominently feature parking.
The Ditches prominently features Ditches.
Most Dangerous:
The Rossmoor Shopping Center. Proximity to Rossmoor. Enough said.
The best demonstration of form over function:
Broadway Plaza Parking Walnut Creek. If you look up “form over function”, you’ll see a picture of it.
Ditches are so rainwater with accumulated pollution from parking lot
are concentrated in those ditches. Mini super fund sites in 22nd Century ? ? ?

All parking lots in Walnut Creek are bad – they have stalls that are 8’6″ wide, instead of the traditional 9’0″ This is a city standard. The 6-inch reduction makes it just that little bit harder to squeeze in and get out of your car without your door hitting the car next to you.
AM – they do that to allow developers to cram in more spaces to make it meet design standards … want to keep developers coming and happy to make more in fees and taxes

Two shopping centers on Ygnacio Valley and Clayton Road.
One went from angle in parking to straight in.

The Clayton Valley Shopping center where CVS, Panera, Pete’s, Burger King, and OSH is located is among the worst designs. It consistently backs up near Burger King/Pete’s Coffee. You can get from one end to the other without stops and narrow turns. When they redesigned it some years ago, they made it worse.
Another horrible parking is Taco Bell/Dutch Bros on Clayton Road. I don’t know what they were thinking. The school hasn’t even opened yet, which is going to make that tiny space worse.
Veranda, for sure, is all disjointed.

Cars and people falling into the ditches. It is also uphill, so on a windy day your car door slams into car next to you. It’s a law suit waiting to happen.
The veranda and the shopping strip (where fuddrucker is) next to it.
Agree, this is the worst i can think of. I specifically choose not to shop there due to the parking situtaion

It will get worse because the other side (willow pass shopping?) is adding more stores where the ufc gym was.
