Was there any mention of the new road dividers put up on Ygnacio at Oak Grove this past week? They weren’t there Sunday, and I noticed them Tuesday morning. What a huge difference! People were always in the right turning lane for Oak Grove, cutting back in front of Yngacio at the last minute near the 4 way light

A little boy and his grandmother were walking along the seashore when a huge wave appeared out of nowhere and swept the child out to sea. The grandmother, horrified, falls to her knees and says “God, please return my beloved grandson. Please, I beg of you. Send him back safely.” Suddenly another huge wave washed in and deposited the little boy on the sand at her feet. She picked him up, looked him over, and, looking up at the sky, said “He had a hat!”

Driving at night with my son, and my 2024 vehicle automatically turned on the brights. My son asked why I turned them on, and I explained it was auto. That led to a discussion as to why cars these days cost so much more (I feel bad for those just starting out). Listed all the things (that I am aware of) on my car that in reality is not necessary, that adds to the cost of a car. Auto bright headlights, cameras/sensors all over the car that “warns” about leaving lane or braking, the auto idle to “save gas,” the cruise control that will decelerate and accelerate based on the proximity of the car in front of you, to name a few. I wish they would make vehicles without some of these options, and associated costs, that would help make these more affordable (kind of like when Ford introduced the Escort back in the early 80’s-ish).

I can remember when a new car or truck was so basic that heaters and radios were optional. They didn’t become standard equipment until the 60s. In the early 1900s, windshield wipers
were also an option. The VW Beetle didn’t even have a gas gauge until 1962.

Some of the latest technology options are kind of nice. A friend of mine was recently slammed into on the road and her phone went flying. I asked her who called 911, and she said her brand new luxury vehicle automatically calls 911 when you’re in an accident. She said you hear “you’ve been in an accident” and the 911 call goes through. Good Lord…

Check out Slate Auto. I put in a $50 deposit. It comes in one color, dark gray they do encourage you to customize it with car wraps of any color and style you want. It is modular, which is kind of cool. The base configuration is a pickup, with crank windows, & manual seats. It’s very basic. With rebates for electric vehicles, it comes out to about $20,000. https://www.slate.auto/en?utm_source=campaign&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=account_login&utm_content=p1

Is it available with a gun rack in the rear window?
Asking for a friend who lives in Texas.

I still don’t believe your own car should be able to lock you out.

For those of us who’ve been around since slightly after the
earth began to cool, Please consider making font, a bit darker.
.
Would make it easier to read, when liberal’ knickers begin
to restrict circulation.
.
Thank You

I’m sorry OG, I couldn’t see you.
Could you darken up a bit?

“I think it will definitely give them some hope that the
community they live in cares about them,” …
“It’s not about just getting, it’s about giving.
That’s the part that brings all of us joy.”
.
“After talking to fellow owners of dry cleaners about how
they could give something back to their communities, he
decided to offer speedy cleaning and pressing of clothes
for free to any unemployed customer heading to a job interview.”

Did you know that if a friend writes you a check drawn on a Bank of America account, and you take it to their branch, there is an $8 service charge to cash it?
They really are a lousy financial institution.
