Residents and motorists are advised that nighttime construction will soon begin as part of the next phase of the Contra Costa Boulevard Improvement Project. Redgwick Construction has made significant progress and will start night operations on May 27, 2025, with grinding and paving scheduled at the following locations:

  • Contra Costa Boulevard – Viking Drive to Harriet Drive
  • Taylor Boulevard – Violet Way to Contra Costa Boulevard
  • Sun Valley Boulevard – Santa Monica Drive to Contra Costa Boulevard

Night work hours will typically run from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., while daytime work will continue from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. To reduce the impact of construction noise, especially near residential areas along Contra Costa Boulevard and Taylor Boulevard, the City and Redgwick Construction are implementing noise-reduction measures. However, the public should still expect: Lane closures and traffic delays, Reduced speed limits, Detours, Rough and uneven pavement.

And when are you ever going to repave willow pass rd?! Hmm? You need a truck to drive down the road. Never seen such a badly pothole riddled rd.
especially with all the digging for the sewer pipe.

Funny you say that dr jellyfinger, i was a teeth grinder and had to wear a mouthguard.

This night time construction is so loud I can’t get any sleep! I’m on Santa Lucia Drive. I’m opposite Mancini’s parking lot and not just the noise but my house is vibrating due to the “grinding.”
SHAME ON YOU CONCORD AND PLEASANT HILL planners!
Worst plan ever to keep people wide awake in the wee A.M hours! I’d love to be able to sleep, but can’t due to this nightmare noise!!!
