Dear MDUSD Families,

As we close the chapter on what has been one of the most extraordinary years in recent memory, I want to express my deepest gratitude to our students, families, educators, and staff. Your unwavering support and belief in the power of public education have propelled Mt. Diablo Unified School District to new heights. We are proud to be a model District. Not only in the Bay Area, but throughout the State of California, we are recognized for our innovative programs, commitment to all students, and educational excellence.

This year, MDUSD stood as a shining example of what’s possible when a community unites around the success of every student. From academic achievement to athletic triumphs, from groundbreaking instruction to inspiring student leadership, our schools have been filled with excellence and purpose. While we acknowledge that we may sometimes miss the mark and that everyone may not always agree with our approach, we are committed to listening, learning, and continuously improving.

At the center of our work is a foundational value: we accept and support all students and families, regardless of background or resources. Every student in MDUSD deserves to feel safe, welcomed, and celebrated. This belief guides every decision we make and supports our mission to help each student reach their highest academic potential.

One of the most “clickish” and “good ‘ol boys” organizations I’ve ever had to deal with… disorganized and freely distributes misleading and often conflicting information with little if any regret or responsibility… that pretty much sums it up for me given my experiences with their staff.

The guy is a tool. I watched him at the College Park graduation, stood there with hands on his side and his head lolled back during the National Anthem. If you are in a position of pretige/power respect the National Anthem and the Pledge.

As the students are being called out, he looked like he was stretching out on a couch watching a game. He was completely uninterested in the graduation.

It was great to see most of the other speakers get more celebration noise (clapping/hooting) when they were announced, cause his was a very dry clap …

The guy is a tool

surprised every other word wasn’t equity…. I am sure that tree at DVC died of boredom as they were all introduced as the leaders of equity.

I just enrolled my son who has special needs in the district and the entire process has been surprisingly peaceful. Every single person I have spoken to has been great, from enrollment, the assessments, and his teachers. The people that work for MDUSD are doing a great job, they are well educated and kind-hearted people. I couldn’t have asked for a better team. Thank you MDUSD!

@Lady
That’s good for you and your son, but don’t ever let up. Sit in on classes, attend the field trips, and get in good with at least one of his aides because the teachers cannot or will not tell you what you need to know.

Maybe they felt they couldn’t find a way to make him into a victim of the system at the application process (until he starts and you see)

This is bad sarcasm,but quite funny.

I wish he would address the enormous vaping issue at the middle and high schools in MDUSD. Some students vape IN class! They hide the vape pen in the wrist of their sweatshirts. They vape in the locker room. Students can’t find a bathroom w/o a cloud of toxic vape crap in the air. Perfectly healthy young people are having irreparable lung damage from it.

MDUSD is only interested in being Inclusive at their discretion. This whole woke agenda is everywhere in the district. They had a ceremony for the raising of the “pride” flag at the district offices. Then the elem school next door had the “pride” flag up as well. What in the world is going on? That flag is not necessary at an Elem. School. You shouldn’t have to fly a flag(other than the US and state) flags to “show” that you are “inclusive” you accomplish Inclusivity by your actions…
