Do I watch riots? No, I am not entertained by them. When I see someone waving a foreign flag in the country I fought for, it will only piss me off. If they are so proud of their homeland, then they have the option to go back to where they came from, because the majority of American voters do not want them here.
Anybody that was around in the late 60s and early 70s, should remember the protests and riots, and what happened when the National Guard was called in to assist at Kent State University in Ohio. The Guard opened fire, killing four students and wounding nine others.
Anybody that has been paying attention to Trump in the last 8 or 9 years should realize that he is not a quitter, when he gets hit, he will always hit back harder. Calling in the Guard is a good idea, and in my opinion, it’s not enough, the Marines should be called in also. The military and police are only human, and as with most humans, some of them have a braking point, if the rioters don’t start protesting peacefully, sooner or later, somebody is going to get killed.
No, Trump was wrong — again! The National Guard was not needed in LA, and was not even requested or wanted by local law enforcement. Trump is trying to play the “big, tough guy”, but his actions only serve to demonstrate that he has turned the country into a kakistocracy*. Deployment of the National Guard, and now the Marines, is a waste of taxpayer dollars.
*”Kakistocracy refers to a form of government in which the worst or least qualified people are in power. It is a government run by individuals who are considered unsuitable or incompetent to govern, often marked by corruption, incompetence, and inefficiency.”
Better check out your sources kpa.
The L.A. County sheriff stated that they were overwhelmed while the mop dropped cinder blocks from overpasses onto CHP vehicles https://www.instagram.com/reel/DKqg0GPRqTb/ which were on the freeway.
Also, have you seen the list of people they were after? Rapists, child molesters and killers who were all here illegally.
I guess you missed LAPD Chief McDonnell press conference on the 8th?
The one where the Chief said and I quote, “We are overwhelmed as far as the number of people engaging in this type of activity and the types of things that they’re doing. They’ll take backpacks filled with cinder blocks and hammers, break the blocks, and pass the pieces around to throw at officers and cars, and even at other people. We’ve seen people with hammers breaking the bollards behind the federal building, using concrete fragments as projectiles. We’ve had unknown liquids—who knows what—thrown at officers. There’s no limit to what they’re doing to our officers.”
Does that sound like the Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department would turn down help from the California National Guard to you?
Incidentally, the Guard is confined to protecting Federal property. They have not been assisting the LAPD or LASD. We wouldn’t want the Fed to trample on Newsom and Bass urban renewal efforts.

Many people broke the law by not immigrating legally. Now there are consequences, which they don’t like, so they riot. Sorry folks, it was their choice to break the law. It’s time for illegals to take responsibility, learn from their mistakes, stop acting like toddlers who throw tantrums when receiving punishment. I strongly believe that the punishment needs to fit the crime–they entered the country illegally, now they must leave.
Polls unanimously show that citizens want legal immigration and support deportation. Politicians, who are supported by our taxpayer dollars, should get on board

Yes. Trump is overstepping the boundaries; abuse of power if you will. And a little heavy handed by mobilizing the guard and active soldiers for the minor riot. Let the honorable Newsom and bass handle it. If they fail, blame it on them
Newsom and whatever you mean by bass, but him and the esteemed ‘elected’ California polittians have already failed and continue to show their failures every day, especially their failure to protect the lives and property of the people of this state
Newsom says it’s peaceful. Bass says it’s peaceful. Maxine Waters said it’s peaceful but Trump’s fault. Even the mainstream media says it over and over again it’s peaceful.
I know there have been some naysayers, like LAPD C.O.P. McDonnell and LA Co. Sheriff Luna who have gone on record saying their officers and deputies are overwhelmed but do these two really have the pulse of the situation like Newsom, Bass and Waters? Doubt it since both agencies have limitless personnel/resources. Thank whatever non-denominational being or closely held belief you have that other violent crimes and calls for service in the city and County of Los Angeles strangely just stops when spontaneous peaceful protests erupts. Talk about civic LA Pride!
Sure it’s only a matter of time before a deputy or police officer is seriously injured or killed by gravity pulling a piece of concrete to the ground with force but that is just force majeure. Really no one’s fault at all if you think about it. Well maybe Isaac Newton is at fault since he made the law. I’m sure a people’s lawyer is already getting ready to sue him and good for them!
I know several EV vehicles have spontaneously combusted but that has to be Saint Elmo’s fire or perhaps a bad battery connection? I guess Trumps’ NHTSA has been remiss in not issuing a safety recall.
It is heart warming to see young adults use their skateboards to breakout the windows to see if anyone was trapped these EV fires. They even wore masks to protect others from the spread of Covid. Thoughtful and civic minded. There is always a silver lining.
Mexico must just be paradise on earth since I see peaceful protestors waving the Mexican flag around so much. I must admit I am confused. If it is such a nice place why they just don’t live there instead of USA with these peaceful protests going on. Oh well one of life’s mysteries I guess.
I think we just trust our politicians and view this as peaceful protesting with enthusiasm. Just like the giant Sequoia and lodge-pole pine needs fire to germinate so too does Los Angeles urban renewal.
Nothing to see here. Let us just wait and see. I know insurance companies like writing policies in California since we use them so little. It’s always easier to rebuild than to try and mitigate damages before hand.

They would have never been exonarated if the ones you believe in were still in power. They only exonerate the ones that help them achieve their goal which is to steal as much money as possible from us and put it in their pockets, just like the communists did back where I’m from. Four years when they did nothing but use that muppet they called Biden to pass all the dirty ‘laws’ they wanted and send all the ‘aid’ to who knows where which all ended up back in their pockets btw, they know how to steal serious money without being obvious in the name of helping humanity. All the while prices doubled a the beginning of the pseudopandemic and have not gone down. Inflation is the ‘invisible’ way they take money out of our pockets. But at least they have guppies like you who believe everything CNN tells you and don’t think for themselves. They stole an election you moron, that’s why all the extra votes your boy Biden needed to be installed as master puppet, they all appeared misteriously overnight when voting was not supposed to even happen; that is partly why the storming of the Capitol building happened. We should of all grabbed our guns and went over there and overthrow that injustice they were forcing on us but only a few had the balls to do it
@concord Resident Let’s not use your revisionist history. Who again was in charge of Capitol Security & NG back then? Maybe you should ask Nancy Pelosi why she ordered them to stand down!
Not only take personal property, but wanting to hang the vice president, and hurt some law enforcement officers. When Trump was asked why he didn’t call in the National Guard he said he did not have the authority to do that, only a governor could do it. How things change. Now he wants to jail anyone that burns the American flag for one year. Not a fan of burning the flag, but that is not the point, it is a protected right. Hegseth any protesters on Saturday during the Military parade on June 14, will not be tolerated, he did not make a distinction between peaceful and non peaceful.
When Biden said he would eliminate student debt, Pelosi said he did not have the authority to do that. But Biden did everything in power to make it so and overrule
The US has 3 separate but equal branches of Government: Legislative, Judicial and Executive Branches.
The US Congress works and controls the US Capital Building just as the SCOTUS works and controls the Supreme Court Building while the Executive Branch controls the rest of the Federal Property.
The Speaker of the House could no more sent the Capital Police to the Supreme Court Building without Justice Roberts’ permission than Justice Roberts could send Supreme Court Police to the Capital Building without the Speaker of the House’s permission. Each could offer but nether could unrelatedly do so on their own – separate but equal.
It is the Speaker of the House’s responsibility to quest the Guard from the Executive Branch. It is not the Executive Branch responsivity to take over the security of the Capital Building from Legislative Branch.
The Federal Building in Los Angeles is exclusively controlled by the Executive Branch.
According to House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight Chairman Barry Loudermilk (GA-11) obtained documentary footage recorded by Alexandra Pelosi on January 6, 2021 and produced to the Subcommittee by HBO. The subcommittee posted a video January 6, 2021 where Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated “I take responsibility” for the security failures of the Capitol that day.
I can’t help you if you don’t smell something fishy about the “Insurrection” The protesters went into the capital just like Ray Epps implored them to do the day before! But you and those like you have no questions?

Trump sending in the Guard escalated the violence. Trump wants news stories to distract from the big bill that will kick 15 million off healthcare insurance and add $2 billion to our deficit.
That’s like claiming when someone punches you in the face and you hit them back, you are the one escalating the violence.
No, when you drop the instigator, the violence stops.
Most of us figured that out on the playground in elementary school.
@doh
That’s totally false. Property was burning on Friday; Bass told police to stand down, and Newsom was off somewhere, probably looking in a mirror. Two days later, Bass and Newsom STILL hadn’t done anything, so Trump did his duty as President to protect a US city, its citizens, and buildings. Ron DeSantis would have had this settled that Friday, the day it all started. Now that’s a governor who knows how to govern.

I am asking why you and those on the right will say something along the lines of “assault a cop/spit on a cop do the time” but cheered on the pardons
Let me know when a country does that or if it’s ever happened and i will give you an answer.child.
is the sky blue?Do bears relieve themselves in the wood?
Yes…. and sending some Marines too.
Newsom is a do nothing, worthless jerk.
Absolutely the correct thing.
The riot participants in Seattle and Portland a few years back sent the message that being gentle and tolerant with them makes things worse.
Oregon and Washington, like California, have feckless Governors incapable of taking charge of a situation unless it is of political benefit to them.
As such, the only take charge person in the room was Trump, so he took charge.
I hope Trump throws Newscum in prison!!!!
In California:
Childrens education is amount the very poorest in the country
Infrastructure and roads continue to crumble
Taxes continue to go up and up
Crushing gas taxes continue to rise(get ready for another 65 cents of taxes on July 1)
More and more corporations leaving the state
And what is Governor Greasy Gavens’ priority?
Protecting people who are lawbreakers that have entered the country illegally
Protecting rioters that destroy public and private property, who assault police officers and who create havoc and are a threat to public safety
Arrest newsom and bass. Send them to gitmo. This is treason. They have allowed foreign invaders to take over our country.
LIBERATE CALIFORNIA NOW
Who allowed the foreign invader Musk to have government access?
Pretty sure Elon Musk is an actual LEGAL Citizen of the USA. Let’s not be ridiculous. And PS: Musk’s limited access was given because he was a government contractor investigating WASTE. Or would you Like the Government to investigate Themselves?????
Before CNN told you he’s a foreign invader, you bought his Tesla because you were showing us how much you cared about saving the world? Now that he came to reality, you burn your tesla because he doesn’t believe the lie like you anymore…what happened to saving the world by going green? It’s not convenient for you anymore. Goes to show how easily controlled and shallow you really are
So you’re asking me if the arsonist can poor fuel on a fire
and demand credit for putting it out?
Apparently, he can. Until midterms anyway.
And how would losing Congress prevent the Commander in Chief from moving troops from one Federal piece of property to another Federal piece of property?
The liberal hive mind is amazing to watch.
another delusional one
@Atticus
So now you’re calling Trump an arsonist and demanding credit? Newsome is parroting you. Or is it you parroting him? Or the both of you parroting CNN?
If sending in troops to a riot causes an even bigger one, then they were justified to keep sending more. Its no different that a nieghbor turning the music up louder when you ask then to turn it down. Now they are going to have the entire street kicking their a$$.Unless youre in Concord where being a bad neighbor is par for the course and to complain makes you a racist.
Watched some, did President Trump make right decision ABSOLUTELY ! ! ! !
.
Of course as is usually the case with democrats IT’S SOMEONE ELSE’S FAULT

not fully the right call, they need to use real ammunition…at least some friendly tear gas. I’m reading that they’re starting the same looting and burning up here too…that gives me some ideas
I guarantee you these riots and ‘protests’ are not carried out by the hard working emigrants who came over here for a better life and are working and supporting their families. These are paid agitators with carrying out a specific agenda and of course the empty headed followers and fools who see an opportunity to steal without being caught and/or prosecuted. Thanks for nothing ‘elected’ officials of California. They have the odacity to stand there and say all this is OK and they actually think people believe them. The saddest part is that a lot of people do
So the January 6th rioters that attacked the capital AND the police and then were pardoned were exercising there legal rights? Or is it that the LA rioters are mostly brown and the January 6th rioters were mostly white?
@Man In Brown
What are you talking about? The Jan 6 rioters broke the law and spent years in prison. But like you said, they were mostly white.
If you take the time to read the Declaration of Independence then you would know the answer is a hard NO
If Newsom doesn’t protect citizens and their assets, he is negligent. We see these riots are being aided and funded, looting, destruction of personal and public property and flying another countries flag? W t f is actually going on here? If Newsom allows it, he is aiding and abetting .Citizens can demand protection.
Seems like Civil War 2.0 is on schedule, brought to you by the “fanatical left”.😎
@doh
None of these “proresters’has any passion for what they are there for.Its just another day at work for Soros.
