Tensions erupted Tuesday outside Concord’s immigration court as protesters clashed with federal agents arresting four people who had just appeared for scheduled hearings. When asked why individuals attending scheduled court hearings were being detained, an ICE spokesperson said the detainees were already under deportation orders. The spokesperson also criticized the Biden administration, blaming it for the current immigration backlog.
The arrests happened outside the Concord Gateway building at 1855 Gateway Blvd., where immigration hearings are held on multiple floors. What began with a small group of early-morning demonstrators quickly escalated, swelling to over 100 people by midday as ICE agents emerged with two detainees and attempted to load them into a waiting SUV. Protesters surrounded the vehicle, shouting and shoving as agents tried to make their way through the crowd. Tensions peaked when officers forcibly removed some protesters blocking the SUV’s path — at least two women were knocked to the ground, and one protester slapped an agent, prompting a fiery exchange before the vehicle finally sped off as traffic backed up on Clayton Road. By early afternoon, the crowd had grown to more than 200, chanting and listening to speeches from community advocates through a bullhorn. The crowd had dissipated by about 2 p.m.
The dim ones believe that they have the right to decide which laws should be enforced, and which laws should not be enforced.
Thier emotions are their laws and rules. These are very immature, coddled multi generation live in the same house cry babies.Everythings free, they are entitled purely because of thier race, they think.
You are exactly right.
Also, Greasy Gavin is preaching lawlessness and inciting rioting and violence.
Arrest anyone interferring with ICE, your emotions don’t give you the right to criminality. Be a good community member not part of the problem.
And again, did emotions play a part in Jan. 6?
We can do this all year. Rioters and those causing violence should be punished. But it seems like you, When, SAM, etc all feel that the violence on Jan 6. was warranted.
Not even remotely a comparison to J6
I know, right? What happened then is directly in line with the second amendment of the constitution. “…a well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state”. Part of the problem was that we’re not very well organized or regulated. Anyone that cares about their freedom, including me, should have been there to prevent the great injustice that was about to be forced on us. Most of us had too much to lose, were too comfortable or didn’t care enough to realize the gravity of the situation. And look at us 4 years later, they’ve taken a huge chunk of money out of our pockets through inflation and to see signs “Common sense Democrats for Trump” I never thought I’d see that. Let’s not touch on the fact that Common Sense is not something found in abundance on the Democratic side, anyone that has two neurons to rub together sees that they and this country is far worse off than it was 4 years ago…except maybe Concord Resident
I agree. These ‘dim’ government agencies have think they can decide which Articles of the Constitution to follow.
Consequently we have people following due process being grabbed by jackbooted authoritarians who don’t think the 14th amendment applies to them.
“What did you do during the death of democracy Daddy?” … “I just followed the Emperor’s orders son.”
”But Daddy, the Emperor’s emotions were his laws and rules” … “I wasn’t paid to think son”.
“You did swear to uphold the constitution though Daddy? Right?”
You should immediately get in contact with and advise the President of the USA with your expertise regarding the Constitution.
Also, I can see how emotional and painful it is for some people, but enforcing laws is important, here in the USA.
Here is another version.
“Daddy, the guy that broke into our house uninvited, that we feed, provide medical care for, give a roof to, well he just hurt me and stole from our neighbors. Should we let him stay?”
“Kid, umm … no”
“But Daddy, you supported all the illegals who entered California back in 2025. What is different now?”
“Daddy, you will protect me, right?”
Is this part of your new fantasy book?
No it’s called reality you should join…
@Joe
Sounds like Merrick Garland.
I’m sorry, but what part of “the detainees were already under deportation orders” did you not understand? They’ve already had their due process and ignored it, breaking the law just like they did when they illegally entered the country!
Huh? I don’t get it, maybe it’s just me, would someone please translate?
MORE MORE MORE! this is what I voted for. Clean house, starting with these imbeciles.
200 people? That’s only about 10 or 12 apartments .Wheres all the outraged people?
So these illegals were already under deportation orders and these fine upstanding agents executed said order – then we have folks, 200 of them, who think that the deportation order does not apply to….
hmmm ….
Then we had a protestor slap an agent … was said protestor arrested? If not, why not? Should have arrested that ‘peaceful’ protestor ams thrown them in jail. Actions have consequences
No protesters arrested?
Why the hell not?
Agents “pushed” and “slapped”?
Enforce the law!
Probably because our local law enforcement has been told not to assist ICE, that’s the idiotic state we live in! This sanctuary BS has got to go. Bring on ICE and continue to do what the people have mandated the government to do!
Wake up people! These “Detainees” already had Deportation Orders! This was not new, they already had their day in court!!!
I just wonder how the people who think these protestors should be arrested feel about the January 6 protestors that did worse things in an attempted COUP being pardoned!
They should have been arrested and prosecuted for at a minimum, trespassing.
They were not.
But since when does two wrongs make a right?
do you honestly feel that the damage/trespass done on one federal building over the span of several hours is anywhere comparable to the damage done in LA over the last 5 day. This where businesses have been looted, police cars destroyed, private business cars destroyed, public property vandalized, officers hurt …
Exactly. The 1/6 protesters, who actually committed crimes, should have been arrested and prosecuted, and many were. Either way, that doesn’t give free rein to those who cause anarchy in the future. And don’t bring Presidential pardons into this. If a President is allowed to preemptively pardon his family and all his criminal associates before he leaves office, for crimes that have not even been charged, then that subject is mute.
Maybe you should ask Nancy Pelosi who ordered the Stand Down on J6!!!!
The Speaker of the House does not order troops. The President does, just like he is now. And he mobilizes them without their backup and has them sleeping on the floor just like he did in 2020.
Since Gomez only watches lying media, he only spreads lies.
Yep both Bowser and Pelosi turned down the request for DC it is not a state…
No comparison whatsoever
So agents doing their job based on current laws like deporting people that are not here legally and have committed crimes.. What’s next they swarm and protest when police bring criminals to the county jail for breaking the law. Maybe if people see police pulling someone over and writing them a ticket for breaking the law, they stop and slap the officer. Geez.
Why do all you people wear masks??? aren’t you proud of what you are doing “Let my voice be heard!” yet you don’t want them to know who you are. seems suspicious to me
They are paid activists that’s why there are vans shipping masks and other supplies. Who the hell has time for this nonsense when they have a job, bills to pay and trying to be a good community memeber.
It’s no coindence this is happening now, at the start of Summer break. The LA protests are heavily organized by teachers unions, and the “No Kings” protest is organized by American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten, who fought tirelessly to keep schools shutdown for as long as possible during covid. First they fail in educating kids, then they use them as foot soldiers for their union’s political ends. People have been getting deported since before Trump took office, and there was never a peep.
This makes them look even worse. Meanwhile” First Partner” Jennifer Seibel is shopping in Beverly Hills with and armed body guard… not kidding here. Newsom’s need help!
no Gruesome’s need to go.
The greasehead dictator has put his foot down he flies in the face of law abiding citizens and stands with disodent communist POS that want this country to fall and fail he is the epitome of Commie F O your political advancement is done COMMIE!
The last time i heard of republicans protesting it was against the Vietnam war ,that was perpetuated just for money,by liberal Potus Johnson. What a johnson.
Apparently marriage proposals from democrat women are pouring in for Alejandro Theodoro Orellana.
Between he and Luigi Mangione, it’s like the dating game for terrorists.
